    It doesn’t mean they’re underrated, just forgotten.

    McNair was ruined because of the fact that he was stuck in a run-oriented scheme for the Houston Oilers/Tennessee Titans.Jeff Fisher did not want him he wanted DE Kevin Carter in the ’95 draft.The only other team that had interested in the ’95 draft was Minnesota.

    Culpepper at his height was fearsome, probably a little underrated today. His weapons though, holy hell. Moss, Smith, Carter, that was a flying act! Vick won two playoff games and even before the doggie stuff was tailing off because defense like the Panthers and especially Bucs had figured him out. He never did touch passes well.

Jim McMahon. 25-0 as a starter 194-1987. Still an NFL record for consecutive winning starts. which included a Lombardi (and another for the Pack)….. Otto was in the ‘superbowl’ every year of his career.

    Kind of goes in the Brad Johnson category for me. Good player, but only won three playoff games his entire career and that was with arguably the best defense of all time. That 25-0 record outside of ’85 is massively deceiving, he lost games in ’84 as well as ’87 and never started the full season in any of them. They didn’t even qualify for the playoffs in ’86.

Not sure he is Top 5 overall compared to some of the older guys, but no love for Jake Delhomme? 5-3 playoff record, came within one last second field goal of beating the team of the century so far, 26-12 record when Delhomme/Smitty/Muhsin Muhammad were on the field together, and suffered an injury which required Tommy John surgery in 2007 that tanked his stats right before they took off for the rest of that generation’s QBs.
