Brown broke the NFL’s single-season rushing record when he rushed for 152 yards in a 20-10 win against Washington on Nov. 16, 1958. Brown finished the game with 1,163 yards on the season and eclipsed the previous record from Steve Van Buren with 1,146 yards.
