I agree but I could make a case for Holland. Dude was the 3rd beat safety in the league this year as a rookie. Not saying he is but I could make a argument for it.

Cowboys zeke played all 17 games and only had 40 more yard.

Najee deserves some recognition. Top 5 in rushing(1,200 yards) with no fumbles behind arguably one of the worst O-Lines in football. 🖤💛.

Pat Surtain?? 2nd lowest pass rating behind JC Jackson and led all rookies in INTs. Javonte Williams deserves some praise as well🧡💙
Who on this list did he do better than? Was he amazing? Absolutely… but all of these 5 rookies did better at their positions, and I’m sure there is still a couple others that would make it before him.

Idk why we keep talking about Mac Jones as a rookie of the year when the only stat they show is the patriots record. They had a great defense and a decent run game this year, and no doubt mac jones preformed okay. But imo rookie of the year should be based off of individual stats i think he should even be in the top 5.

@Landon I would not go that far. Good defense and good O-Line, decent receivers. They probably need better receivers though.

I’m a huge Ja’Marr Chase fan but this is a pretty good list, if they decide this is the way to go when deciding Rookie of the Year, I wouldn’t blame them, just got a ton of outstanding rookies this year

Gotta give some love to Amon-Ra St Brown from the crappy Lions. By week 8 he was the focus of the offense and the after Hockenson and Swift went down he was the only player defenses planned for. 90 recp, 912 yards and 5 TD’s. With the worst offense in the NFL.
Lions had the 22nd ranked offense this year, it was horrible at times but overall it was just an average offense. And like you said that’s without Swift and Hock for a long stretch of time. Plus add in they didn’t have the best Center in football play at all and you can see plenty of optimism for this offense next year. Especially if they could sign a Allen Robinson type guy or if they draft a Treylon Burks type guy, maybe one of the other WRs like Dotson or Williams. Just saying watch out for the lions in the next couple years, if Aaron is truly gone then it’s a toss up who wins this Division.

This draft class is stacked. There were many great players that could make this list and more that have flown under the radar: Devonta Smith, Rashawn Slater, Gregory Rousseau, Patrick Surtain II, Jaelen Phillips, Kyle Pitts, Jaevon Holland, Asante Samuel jr, Christian Barmore, Greg Newsome, Javonte Williams, Najee Harris, Amon-ra St. Brown, Elijah Mitchell, Kwity Paye, Christian Darrisaw. All of these guys have potential to be in this league for a long time, and who knows about the qbs besides Mac Jones. I can see Justin Fields, Trey Lance and Trevor Lawrence finding success someday. Also, how in the world was Creed Humphrey a 2nd round pick!?

Chase may have had the best rookie season for a receiver but what parsons is doing out there is insane, especially for a defensive rookie!
Yeah, it’s a shame we don’t have a good coaching staff, we could be contenders if we knew how to play offense/call decent plays.

I know he only had 1 TD but Pitts breaking 1,000 yards as a rookie TE deserved some recognition
