Idt it has to do with race, the talking heads automatically put Patrick Mahomes and DeShaun Watson ahead of him in terms of qb talent. While I’ll say it’s fair to put Mahomes ahead of Lamar, there is no way DeShaun is as good as Lamar. Yeah he’s Houdini at times, but only to extend pass plays. Lamar is that and more especially when it comes to taking off running the ball.

There was a Ravens wired episode that week. After this play on the sidelines Lamar tell Andrews he thought the safety had to be closer to him so he threw it high. Sounds like he truly couldn’t believe he was that wide open.
