The bigger fail was the call by McDaniels to go for 2. Gotta at least tie the game.
Them running into each other wasnt the fail. Them not running the ball on 4th and 1 when their running back was averaging like 8 yards a carry that game was crazy.
I either would’ve said run the ball or throw a short pass to a receiver 2 yards past the sticks out of bounds or to an open receiver in the middle down the field. Also during the failed 2pt for the raiders, I think it was a read option and I think Carr should’ve ran it in instead.
@Pudding When you account for the fact that the push could take around 5 seconds, then the ref has to set it which would take around 10 seconds, then you got it down to about 20 seconds to make a few plays(2-3), then you have to hope the ball is set quick on all of them or that they happened to go out of bounds, then spike it again to go for the kick. Overall there’s just too many variables, the best option was just to go deep for adams because that boy was gone if the collision didn’t happen, even if he gets tackled just spike sense you’re already in good field position
Going for 2 on a 0 blitz isn’t a very bright move. We saw what happened when the chiefs packed the box on the 2 point conversion
