@Josh Mc It doesn’t matter if you extend your arms. If you shoulder charge someone it can be PI, even though your arms are tucked into your body. Arm extension is for offensive PI, defensive PI is more about positioning and impeding the receiver. That’s the first point.

The ref missed it, that’s why we’re saying it’s missed PI. Missed calls happen, we can agree on that at least? Even if we don’t agree on this specific instance?

I’ll give you that the DB correctly inferred Miller was being targeted and tried to time it to block the ball. But he did not do a good job. Hence defensive PI should have been called. Intent doesn’t matter if you completely misplay it. Sorry. Nobody tries to interfere, it just happens sometimes.

@fangman21 I understand what your saying. But imo Alford did a good job, the announcers said the same thing. In the end our views on the play won’t change anything. I believe the refs protected Brady on the sack bc it was obviously a generic sack but it was on Brady and it would’ve cost him the game. So the refs gave him that roughing the passer call. But our views can’t change what happened so it’s pointless for getting into arguments ab it. Maybe the nfl will just invest in refs who know how to do their job.

@atldirtybird1 oh really and I just checked refs called a bullshit offsides call on the buccs even tho it was the falcons who were offsides so that’s a missed PI call and a bad Offsides call that people ignore heavily

@atldirtybird1 and Evans was 6 yards out you can press but you can not grab on the jersey or else it’s a PI call should’ve been 28-0 easily or more due to the inconsistency

That was what I happily call a “Roughing the Brady” penalty. ALL QB’s get too much protection these days. You can’t hit em high, can’t hit em low, can’t launch at em, can’t drive em to the ground. But let’s face it, when it’s Tom Brady, the refs are going to call it just a bit tighter. Is it fair? Not so much. But does LeBron get the call more than he should when he barrels to the basket and runs over some rookie defender? Yes he does. That’s just modern sports. The superstars get favoritism. Brady has 7 rings. He’s the GOAT. He’s gonna get calls.

1st….It’s called football for a reason…. its not a pucccsss sport, yet the ..nfl is making it that way.. if players don’t want to be hit then don’t play!
2nd… How is the nfl allowing these stupid refs to dictate the outcomes of games over and over again ! Season after season!!! They have to be working with the sportsbooks, I mean there no other explanations for it!! Folks what we’re watching nowadays is scripted, predicted, and preplanned sports outcomes now in just about every sport ! These players are making salaries that are absolutely insane but yet we have to watch these players fake flops and folds.. constantly! I didn’t know these different sports adopted wrestling entertainments pre-planned outcomes..but unfortunately we are! How are their flags on every other play in football! I watched the packers play& the clock management at the end was crazy!! 25 seconds lasted 10 minutes 😳 how it that possible!
