so let’s make this abundantly clear, their WRs consists of: Edelman, Harry, Dorsett, Harris, Thomas, and Josh Gordon. Receivers fighting for a spot are Berrio, Meyers, and Cameron Meredith. Dude, The GOAT is gonna have a lot of fun this season.
Well they usually keep 6 for the roster (including Slater) so for spots 1-5 is
1. Edelman
2. Harry
3. Gordon
4. Thomas
5. Meyers/ Dorsett (?)
Meyers is clearly the best performing of the other receivers battling for spot #5, PD-13 just has a lot more snaps with the team so Brady leaned on him more this game. But they do have 3 other big wide receivers locked in so theres a chance PD-13 gets the roster spot for his speed to be worked into more unique schemes. Really can go either way with how well meyers is playing in spite of his incomplete grasp of the playbook.
I like Meyers but he need to step it up in a game when Brady is throwing to him.
I’m not shocked if Thomas gets cut before Week 1. He’s much more expensive than a kid and he’s coming off injury. Can you get enough value paying him more vs a kid that’s learning from him throughout camp AND getting paid less than half as much?
@Omar Gomez 0% chance theyre dropping dorsett. Meyers has been good playing with Stidham but keep in mind thats mostly against 2nd and 3rd stringers. Yesterday with Brady he didnt seem on the same page

Brady was super mature about not throwing Jakobi under the bus and even went and gave the dude some tough coaching during the game to show he actually wants to see the guy improve. Imagine what Big Ben would have done in that situation with the rookie misreading coverage
