Marcus is not the right QB for Tennessee, and Tennessee is not the right place for Marcus. Classic case of a trying to make a QB fit an offense, rather than the other way around.
Dude needs to be in a spread offense, four wideouts, RPO that leverages his skillset. Tennessee’s offense needs a Big Ben type QB in a heavy run-first offense like this where there’s only two wideouts off P/A.

    Honestly the dude really needs an offensive minded head coach, and he really hasn’t had one to help him throughout the years. Remember how everyone labeled Jared Goff as a bust, and then once Sean Mcvay came to LA he made Goff a top 10 QB. And I know Kellen Moore isn’t a head coach, but look what he’s doing with Dak Prescott. I remember when Marcus was on fire in 2016, and a lot of people had put him in the MVP conversation and had a chance to be in the Pro Bowl. Ever since that fibula injury he hasn’t looked anywhere near as great as he used to, and I’m starting to think that’s what’s caused a lot of this is from that injury. Cause when we see him these days he just looks terrified behind that O Line, and doesn’t feel like he knows where to go. I really do think that this will be indeed his last year as a Titan, its a shame to cause he has the talent and potential but it just doesn’t show up every week… I’m not even sure what team he could go to, don’t even know if he could get a starting gig. He could be quite good for a backup, but its a shame that he’s so talented he just couldn’t ever break the glass in the mirror to show it. And for the Titans I’m not sure who they could find to replace him, it definitely won’t be Tannehill. From what I’ve heard everyone thinks that the Titans are gonna draft Jake Fromm in next year’s draft, and he would fit the Nashville hospitality quite well. Or if the Dolphins tank for Tua, maybe take a chance and try to get a trade for Josh Rosen.

    @Wesa Zazoo True but average play isn’t cutting it anymore. Colin Cowherd said it perfectly clear. The Ravens, Jags, and Chiefs moved on from their QBs because it was holding the team back. Its come to the point where Tennessee is gonna have to do the same with Mariota cause you really don’t know what your gonna see from him every week. Did you not see how lost he looked at times from last night? For a former second overall draft pick that’s in his fifth year, that’s not a good sign at all. He’s missing wide open targets, and just throwing check downs when he has a guy wide open that could help them move the ball. Yeah that O Line is quite bad at the moment, even when Taylor Lewan returns it won’t get any better. Conklin looks like a shell of his old self, RG is the biggest question mark hopefully Nate Davis fills that role effectively, and Ben Jones needs to go ASAP! I just don’t understand how a top five O Line from years ago, went to being a bottom five last year. Titans fans are living in dark times..

Let’s be honest; the refs screwed them over in the first half, but Mariota had an awful game last night. Some of his passes were off target, if not dropped by receivers. I’m not saying it’s over for Mariota yet, but he has to step it up so Tannehill won’t have the opportunity to take his job.

    Regardless of Tanehill, though, Mariota rarely makes the team better. And this is his 5th year of mediocrity.
