You’re right and it was Robinson. He finally got fired thankfully. Mike Vrabel was livid the day that AG got drafted.
I was basically a Dolphin fan who followed Tannehill over into Titan fandom, mostly because I had always wondered what Tannehill may accomplish with a team that didn’t seem to be actively trying to destroy his career. What I found was he is just under the elites at his best, and when he has a top flight run game he can be very successful. However, not even Henry is as valuable as Brown would be for a successful SB run. Without an elite franchise QB, you need a Tannehill plus elite WR, so when you trade the receiver and keep the QB I don’t get it.
Baker is now wearing 17 because numbers 1-16 were taken!

J rob spent to much money on other players and coaches. If he saved some of that money brown could still be here. I hope that we make some good moves in the off-season.
As I watched the titans get destroyed by my eagles I looked at Mike Vrabel and it looked like he was content and thinking “I have no one, what do you want me to Do?” It’s almost like he conceeded.
The Titans are solid but have Zero Depth especially at star offensive positions. The Eagles are solid & do. It’s no wonder that they knew who they had to defend against, but also that they could & did. The Titans don’t have enough talent on the field.
@Choose Carefully that’s very true and Jrob would rather let talent walk and try to game on himself in the draft.The problem is he failed more times than not with that strategy.
@Thomas Adams No one can predict the future. A.J. Brown is an _élite_ receiver or at least in the top 7. What are the odds any number of draft picks would yield anyone like him? I hope that isn’t how he thinks, just rotating stock like on a supermarket shelf.
There are a _LOT_ of inept people in positions of authority & decision-making in the world. I haven’t gotten into too many of the management figures because there’s usually tons of stuff we don’t know about.
But teams owners rarely know anything about the sport, let alone what makes a good GM, so who _knows_ if they aren’t just tickled by this strategy of his even _if_ he phrased it the way I just did.
@Choose Carefully Jrob comes from the belicheck tree.Everything’s the patriot way.Problem is that strategy only works if you have literally the greatest Qb to every play the game.The draft is a essentially a lottery.There’s no way to know how someone will pan out.That’s why trading Aj made no sense.You just don’t get players like that often, when you do you pay them or other teams happily will.

@Do Du That’s what *I’m* thinking, but even that isn’t smart. It’s not like the Rams are gonna make the playoffs. I’m not sure _what_ the thinking is except that maybe McVay has some long-term plans & will try some things to see if Mayfield can do them.
My hope for Baker was to end the question for himself, the coaches & fans as to whether he still has by ending up in one of three places where if he does better than the current starting QB, that would resurrect his career.

*_Denver._* Can you |-imagine? The Broncos claim him & it’s a 2-fold strategy. 1) Light a fire under Russ. 2) Start Baker. If he does well, then you have leverage *over* Russ to potentially do many, many many things.
Think of it: “you WANT to take a pay-cut, _don’t_ you Russ?” I mean – _WHO_ tf is gonna claim _Russ’_ salary off of waivers should they release *him!* If Baker outplayed him it would be a win/win/win! Russ needs to be challenged to become a good QB.
The Saints & Falcons are both teams with A Problem at the QB position. Sure, so is Indy. But they’re so inconsistent you wouldn’t know if them winning was due to anything the QB did, whereas with N.O. & ATL, we _know_ that’s the offensive problem.
I’d have loved to have seen Denver be smart & try this.
Bravo Titans for not setting for “good enough.” My Packers were trapped in this way of thinking, it’s like high level mediocrity, division winners, a playoff win or two and that’s “good enough.” But our GM has made even bigger mistakes, the Jordan Love debacle (when WRs like Tee Higgins, Chase Claypool were still on the board), letting Davante Adams walk (could’ve locked him up the season before), botching Za’Darius Smith and about half his draft picks have not worked out. He kept at it until the wheels fell off this season.
good comment, i will add to it. the packers wanted justin jefferson. i just know they were very high on him. when the vikes snatched him, and the niners moved up ahead of the pack for ayuck, they got crazy and moved up for jordan love.

Baker is getting David Carred. Meaning he was a really good quarterback, but never had any good offenses to take care of him. Houston did him wrong. Same with Baker. If he doesn’t have good offensive support he will always fail and it’s a shame, because he is a good quarterback that has potential to be great. With the right coach and offensive support, you will have a dangerous weapon.
Baker is not a good quarterback. He’s not good enough to be a starter for a decent team. The only time Baker did well was when he had two top-tier running backs and a top-tier offense line and even then he only played well in good weather. Baker is a back up

What have got to lose? They are already dead for this season. Could generate some fan interest. Current Rams backups have very little talent. Mayfield gets the coach that fixed Goff.
Keep in mind the Eagles pay their QB right now less than $2 mil a year. They also have other young players on rookie contracts. Might have one of the best OL in the league. See how they handle things in the next few years when they have to pay Hurts $30 mil.
