Travel back in time with America’s team to the 1982 NFC Championship in San Francisco where Cowboys cornerback Everson Walls reminds us there was more to that game than just a catch.

Man that’s classic cowboys lol.

When I get Everson’s age, I hope I have Everson’s hairline

    Brian Daniel

    You stupid 😂

Gary Phillips

I love these time travel pieces. Today that tackle on Drew is a horse collar and personal foul. Then we would’ve kicked the winning FG. Everson 11picks + 2more in the NFC Championship. Good rookie year!!!

    Curtis Lawrence

    Best rookie year!!!!!

    Louis Webster

IKR. I was saying the same thing. Tack on 15 more yards, and I’m sure the next play then would’ve been a run or quick pass just to get a little closer for the FG instead of White going with a deep drop back in the pocket which allowed the strip fumble. Damnit!!

The Greatest Cornerback Ever-Son #24

Walls belongs in the HOF and he is WAY past due to be in the Dallas Ring Of Honor.

    Gary Phillips

    I agree.

Daniel Martin

Cowboys fan since 84. I remember Everson being a great player. But with how bad the Cowboys have been this year. I’ve watched every 80s Cowboys games on YouTube and every game it feels like he gets multiple picks. He was a dog. If he played today he would be the highest paid corner in the nfl for most of his career.

Daniel Martin

Definitely deserves to be in the hall of fame. Voters just need to go back and watch his body of work from 81 till he retired.

I’ll never forget the Pearson catch and the Danny White fumble – elation than anguish

Joseph Smith

Ironically the last Superbowl the Cowboys won, #24 Larry Brown was Superbowl MVP.

Louis Webster

I remember being a kid watching this game and how nerve racking it was with both teams not allowing one another the momentum until the very end unfortunately for us

Teddy K

10 more yards and we are in septiens field goal range and he kicks us into pontiac and a 3rd ring. 😪 didnt go to school the next day.

    Louis Webster

And everyone knew the super bowl winner was emerging from this game over the Bengals

You’ll always be dead-aight with me Everson#24Walls
And you’re 200% correct here
That play, (The Catch), didn’t end the game

Chris Aguilar

Oh the good ol days, the Pre-Jerry days.

Antbeast23

Geez 11? That’s more than our db’s have in their career
