i keep saying it, Joe “d” promised darnold’s parents that he would protect sam. so far he has done a horrible job at that. with this draft, he can easily do that. the question is, will he?

@david jamal cmon now. he had MANY opportunities to bring in better players but he went the cheap route. i get his situation and his strategy, so for now imma give him half a pass. lets see what’s up with this off-season
@MGTOW-Balance he had ONE offseason. He didn’t go the cheap route. Offers were made to Conklin and another pro bowl FA Olineman. They did not want to play here. He made a valiant effort to improve. He brought in 4 new linemen whose career stats were better than the guys we had.

please use this draft to FINALLY build an offense. it can be done with just the first four picks. (and lord knows y’all OWE it to darnold) so with that, offensive line has been a weakness for years. please draft penei sewell to have two massive bookends. then draft a WR, then snag up the best G or C, then another WR
this would be an instantly HUGE upgrade on offense, without having to spend in FA. now defensively, of course, the same problems for years — EDGE and CB. this is where my FA priority would be. i would try to sign both the #1 or #2 EDGE and CB available
so with that offensive line upgrade, and proper scheming, there’s no need to draft a RB since big holes will be open now. also as far as tight-ends, y’all seriously need to give wesco more playing time, so no need to waste a draft pick there either

Sam is gone, he busted, let go. I seen QBs in bad positions with bad coaches, have at least good season which Darnold has never managed. With same coach and roster McCown had and was decent with, Darnold was a bottom 5 QB as a rookie before Gase ever came.
Can’t wait for Fields/Wilson, either will be a big upgrade and can actually make the offense watchable….

Ill wait forever bcuz its never happened and never will. And 2 years ago Ssm was the 2nd highest rated QB the 2nd half of the season. Trade down with Atlanta. Get some good draft capital and don’t move too far out the top few spots. Penei. Or one of the top receivers will still be there. Atlanta gets their QB of the future. Win win.
The Quarterback is not the biggest problem for the jets we need help on front line to give the QB time to work and the Defence needs help
