SMH at these people saying Beane payed too much for Diggs, usually comparing it to the rape of the Texans resulting in Hopkins being stolen by the Cardinals. The Bills did NOT pay too much, it was a very fair trade for both sides.
Think about it. We got diggs for a 22nd or 23rd pick. Those later picks are meh
I have heard that if the Bills had packaged the 5th the 6th and next years 4th (what they gave in the trade) they could have moved up to #16 in the draft (I think, that or #18). So who would they have gotten at 16? Point being that if we moved up to draft a WR the top guys might be gone anyway. Or it would have taken more than we gave up in the trade.
It’s nice to see someone else who realizes WR isn’t a top position. You don’t pay WR or RB big money if you want to win. They are easily replaceable. $20M for a WR is a rookie move. That’s QB and DE money. And about to be Tre White money.
