I was saying that they should only run him off tackle or straight up the middle, because he didn’t have the speed to get to the edge. Well looks like I was wrong. He was smoking on that run. 🔥
That run was up the middle, not to the edge, so you’re right, not wrong. He did exactly what you suggested.
@NAP NAP I was right about having him hitting the hole straight on instead of running lateral but wrong about his speed. That run showed me that he is faster than I thought. Still I don’t think pitch outs and sweeps are his strength. He more elusive and powerful when he’s moving forward on a run or pass play.
@Warrin Bang Ah, I hear ya Warrin… I think the sweeps are so he gets space for his killer cuts that he does. Even on that breakaway, I think against some other teams he’d get caught from behind. But man, speculation aside, JJ is just a dog!, I love that he’s our running back. Just in there grinding.
