It was there for the taking and we blew it, poor time management and rookie mistakes from Jeudy, very painful to watch

should have been calling Fant’s number in 2nd half a ton of times… that’s a real big head scratcher

Great teams, Like the patriots, (uhhhhg, I made myself sick) stick to whats working. They do it till you stop it. Titans couldnt stop fant, so the broncos coaches did it for them.

    MrAdamNTProtester

100%… I really really wonder WTF is up when FANT isn’t the guy when the $$$ is on the table as the goto guy… it’s like they called on the rookie in that situ & as rookies do they do rookie things… play calling & coaching is the #1 reason we lost this one for sure

I’m not the only one that thought the broncos had it in the bag

Jeff Wingham

Play like you protest. Guess missing practices for social issues isn’t going to win games. No leadership, Elway needs the boot.

Flippant Booch

Time management was horrible

Michael Pack

I absolutely love the Broncos… but I saw a whole lot of confusion on the field, poor officiating… where was the intentional grounding call? Plus, that awful throw in the endzone where Drew had– not one– but two open tight ends wide open four the TD… the whole game looked sloppy!
There were bright shots… and you can use the excuse that this is the first game under new management… run defense… it was pretty good, but the secondary was just too soft– but again, injuries.
All of this being said, I still see a ton of potential!
Been a Broncos fan for about 40 years– won’t ever jump off the band wagon.

    Gage Madrid

That throw was mostly influenced by pressure in my opinion. Bolles got beat off the edge pretty badly by Harold Landry, and Lock began to drift away from the pressure. I thought he had a chance to set his feet and zip it in to Jake Butt in the back of the end zone, but Drew knew he was gonna get hit so he just lobed it up to Vannett in hopes that he could come down with it, but his skittishness forced an inaccurate throw. That was a mistake I am certain he will learn from.

Ted Lovell

Several things really bugged me yesterday. Vic Fangio isn’t head coaching material. If his excuse for clock management is that he was concentrating on the defense. Then why do we have a defensive coordinator then. 4th game that the clock management has cost us a game. Elway and Ellis need to have this conversation with Vic and get it through his dense head that he is ultimately responsible fro the entire team not just the defense. Pat shurmur was just garbage in the second half. The adjustments that were made killed our offense. Noah Fant and Jeudy was they had no answer for either one. Second half fant was nonexistent. Jeudy wasn’t featured much in the second half either.

    100%

    MrAdamNTProtester

totally… when the $$$ is on the table got to go with FANT… unreal is shurmur submarining Fangio for ambitions to be HC- hope not… if our OFF fails Shurmur has to go NOT Fangio

Ken Wanlass

Take away. Fangio still in over his head and is a horrible HC.

Big J

I’m not a fan of this under center crap for Drew. Keep him in the gun more.

    MrAdamNTProtester

This is the NFL not college he needs to be under center to set the RB’s up for success & to make the pre-snap reads & learn footwork & be a POCKET PASSER when he needs to be one… you cannot succeed in the NFL with any weaknesses in your game… it is wrong to put win now ahead of development… that’s the reason QB’s sit & learn… I am happy he is starting but this game was lost by coaching & inability to run the ball from the 1 yard line for TD & run the ball to eat up the clock in the final 4 min… just like 2019

    Big J

@MrAdamNTProtester I agree with you on the bottom half, but after watching the game it looked as if he had more understanding and control over the Defense when he was in the gun. And you make the reference of NFL to college, but how often was Peyton Manning under center? Even in Peytons earlier years he preferred the gun with the exception of his exceptional naked bootleg ability.

    MrAdamNTProtester

@Big J Peyton was not under center due to an atrocious OL please do not compare a rookie to one of the GOATS…
Manning could read a def from a locked closet in the dark… my point is until your QB CAN DO EVERYTHING- NO WEAKNESSES… AND IT IS A CHOICE that maximizes his abilities THEN YOU MUST CONTINUE DEVELOPING HIM… also there is a reason Manning never won more than 2 SB’s… his refusal to run the ball even when BOTH his Rb’s were AVG 5 or more yards/carry [See: Aint’s Vs Colts] IF manning had simply run the ball he wins instead he throws a pick six at the 20 yard line and its a 14 point swing he never could overcome… it was the same with Eli in NYG- it is a difficult line to tread- you want a QB who wants the ball in do or die situ’s to win you the game BUT you also want a dude who will hand the ball off for victory & take what DEF is giving you…Tannehill dinks & dunks his way to the AFC championship & an opening wk victory against us Lock overthrows 5 WR that were open for TD’s… in the final 2 drives we AGAIN [see 7/16 chances 2019] refuse to eat the clock with a LEAD in the final 4 min of a game… that is an inexcusable REPEATING ERROR that has to get solved:
    1. Time Management
    2. BEING ABLE to run ball when other teams knows we are running ball- 3 & 1 Goal to go- WE MUST BE ABLE TO SUCCEED AT THAT before we CHOOSE to not do that in that situ
    3. Lock’s footwork is garbage- if he doesn’t fix that he is headed to having a mediocre NFL career

Andre Renix

Horribly played game…no way they should’ve lost this game…c’mon man
