Last year, the Broncos would’ve made the playoffs had it not been for those few games where we lost by a FG at the end. This was already a playoff contender team, we just moved ourselves into the ‘DEEP PLAYOFF AND POSSIBLY SUPER BOWL CALIBER’ and that’s not an understatement.
I’m an Iowa Hawkeye but I love all the Big Ten Teams. I was rooting for us to get Ruggs III because of his deadly speed, so when Raiders took him I was hoping we’d at least get Jeudy. I was like alright alright… someone to compliment Sutton. Then when we got Hamler I was floored HOW IN THE HELL DID THESE TWO WRS FALL INTO OUR LAPS! The speed I was hoping for with Ruggs is now covered through Hamler and we got the best all-around Receiver on top of that in Jeudy. It’s almost like the Football Gods are pleased with the Broncos with how many weapons we have.
As much as I love that Drew Lock has a rocket arm and loves to throw the deep ball, he now has an option to go underneath to his check-down reads. With the talent on the field and all that speed, a short 5 yard pass can turn into a 50 yard gain really fast. I’m hoping they implement a lot of play action passes with the RBs Melvin and Phillip too. Man this could be a MONSTER season for Drew Lock, he could put himself among the greatest seasons of all-time if they do this right!

One thing for sure, provided the coaches do their jobs, and draw up creative plays, the Broncos aren’t going to see everyone forward stacking the box. If any team tries their going to be slaughtered, and once they have been stung, here comes our running backs, or our TE. It should be a ligitimate nightmare for any defensive coordinator to draw up a game plan. Then, the Broncos defense steps up to scare the living hell out of any offense.

First, I don’t know why everyone is so cautious about the Broncos chances this year (including many Broncos fans.) Patrick Mahomes played ONE game his rookie year and came back with an MVP season as a sophomore. Drew had 5 games. He’s ready for a whole season. If some say, yeah, but his receivers are so young, they are forgetting Sutton, Gordon and Lindsay out of the backfield, and Fant. They can do a lot of damage because defenses will still have to honor the rookies. We’re ready for a break out year!
Second, Drew is fin throwing short if need be. We have guys all over the field who can take a ball to the end zone on a dump off. Drew should NOT sacrifice completions just so he can show off his arm. Go back and look at the tape: Peytoin Manning threw any number of short wide receiver screens to DT, and he did the work after the catch. That works! More important than long touch down passes is the Denver offense’s ability to keep the chains moving!
