By Saam — a Philly legend who was really pretty bad. I remember the first time Jesus Alou played against the Phillies (there were two other Alou brothers in the bigs, Felipe and Mattie). Saam couldn’t figure out how to say his name. He used the Anglo version and you could tell he was beyond embarrassed. I was a little kid, and even then I was horrified.
