One area of the game that probably won’t be talked about enough is how good our new punter is, glad all the coaching he received in the off-season has paid off.

@Brad Taylor I think he needs a yr as QB2. But if he gets that I think you have a solid guy going forward. Happy ya’ll have him instead of the steelers. Only have to see him once every few yrs.
Lots of people talking about it actually. Dude is a 4th round pick and people know the Ravens value special teams. The idea that they saw him worthy of a 4th, when Justin Tucker was undrafted makes you think they see big big things from him.
With how big his leg is, kind of wonder if he could become to kicker someday.

@DeuceHamilton they actually won 0 games after Lamar went down. That Bears game we won with Huntley doesn’t really count because Lamar did most of the work in that game. Tyler just finished it imo
@ecentes107 I doubt a team would be willing to part ways with a 1st pick for Huntley. Maybe a 3rd rd pick at most but that’s still a good deal & EDC would most likely pull the trigger immediately. A 3rd rd pick for an undrafted guy is a steal imo

Likely, Stout, Jones, and Bridges were it. Hamilton made that fumble recovery. I even saw Moon in the backfield quite a few times. Rookies looked good. Can’t wait to see Kolar, Linderbaum and Ojabo.

This is why expecting a rookie QB to start is insane. Malik Willis has a lot of tools, but he’s obviously going to take time. Every rookie QB is a project

Its very smart of the Ravens to have 2 QBs who are similar styles and both pretty good. If Lamar goes down, Huntley is a good backup and they can run the same offense.
@William Fike Exactly. The defense was destroyed and that influenced a lot of decisions, like the gamble go-for-2 choices that ended up backfiring.
@VRNocturne we’d have been in the playoffs last year if Harbs actually used the greatest kicker in NFL history instead of gambling at the end of those games
@poppyhimbo – I see that as a different scenario. Flacco played a traditional style and there would obviously be a drop off in talent and effectiveness of a backup that was also traditional.
By tossing in a QB with a different style much more reliant on their legs, and with little tape, the Ravens had the opportunity to throw a curve ball at the opponent. Personally, I always prefer a running QB backup for a game here and there to mitigate their lesser talent.

Dude bridges is definitely going to be a problem for sure. I can just already tell he’s going to be a beast.
He has an outside to make the roster. He made two plays against back up CBs that won’t be playing on Sundays. Slow your roll. If I had a dollar for every UDFA that made plays in the preseason, then vanished? I’d be a multi-millionaire.

My thoughts exactly about Brown. He looks the business.
Likely and Bridges are the big bodied route runners we need in this offense. Likely plays like a WR. Also really nice seeing the QB’s use the back shoulder pass, that kid bridges looks like thats his bread and butter. Just one or two of those completions in a game can be huge
Likely is going to really open up the offense. Bateman can replicate at least 80% of what Hollywood brought, and that is the floor. Likely is a totally new commodity and you have to wonder how defenses account for him. Between having to spy on Lamar, keep Andrews and Bateman covered, the running backs and now Likely, the Ravens have a lot of ways to hurt people.
And I didn’t even mention people like Duvernay and Proche who could break out this year with more playing time.
I was surprised by Shemar Bridges last night. I know it’s only preseason & that it was against mostly backups but he really attacks the ball & doesn’t wait for it to come to him like Hollywood or Boykin would do. What can I say about Likely. I didn’t follow him at all in college but after he was drafted I checked out his tape & he’s a bonafide stud. He looks like a receiver out on the field. Slam dunk pick by EDC
