Over his last two games, Austin has been what every fantasy owner hoped he would be when the season opened. But the Rams had him focus so much on the return game that he was left out of most of the offensive schemes early on. Things are obviously different now as Austin has 177 receiving yards with two touchdowns and 65 rushing yards with another touchdown over his last two games.
The 49ers are expecting the Rams to continue to be creative with Austin again. Their seventh ranked pass defense will be looking for him regularly and their 11th ranked run defense will be on the look out for the trick plays out of the backfield as well. Austin is clearly a player on the rise and obviously will require special attention by defensive coordinators the longer he is in the NFL.
