What if Zeke retires and walks away from football? I know it’s far fetched but it’s happened before at different positions. Mickey has no idea if Zeke figured this out himself implying he’s dumb and that’s an insult. They should get rid of Mickey because he adds no value to this show and his voice is annoying. Those fans against Zeke holding out would be sick if he walks away while I like him more than ever before because he’s taking care of himself. Life is more than football and contracts are broken by both sides all the time.
First of all Zek is no position to walk anywhere other than retirement! Which makes absolutely no sense considering why he’s is where he is at now! The implied notion from Mickey would be that if Zek played this year he has an opportunity to win a S.B. with a team that is in perfect position to challenge any team in it. This would obviously raise his value even more as long as he stays out of trouble off the field! And anyone that understands that would seriously think twice before holding out!! He’s not taking care of himself off the field! I believe this is the reason his agent is making him hold out now. Because when all this off the field stuff pans out it will only make Zek look worse than he already looks! If Zek holds out this year he is done as a Cowboy! I don’t pay someone that kind of money if I don’t trust them. Period! Your better off in Vegas at a slot machine!
I think Zeke and his agent go to Cabo so that he won’t be able to hear all the talk. And he did a good job of staying in shape the last time. Plus it’s closer to training camp than Dallas.
It is not true that Zeke is not a true player, like some fans think. Zeke IS a team player. Zeke’s just in a bad spot right now. That’s why his agent is making him hold out now. With all the contracts the team has to pay right now, if Zeke doesn’t get a new contract now, he risks being in a position where he and Jaylon Smith will have to compete for left over money next season. He risks getting injured this season and getting less money next season. Jaylon will get the most money next season because he is an all pro type player, and getting better every game. Zeke risks losing his value with Tony Pollard and Mike Webber running behind the All Pro Oline we have. So, Zeke’s agent sees this and has to get the most money for Zeke (and himself) right now….
Great points bro, but My main issue with Zeke is his baggage and drama, and I strongly feel that he would have been extended already if not for his B.S, but I totally agree👍
For fans who think Jerry is being cheap and doesn’t want to pay Zeke. If you are a Cowboys fan who’s followed the team, at least since their last super bowl, you’d know that Jerry Jones has payed the best players a ton of money and tried to keep them all. However, since the SALARY CAP was enacted, Jerry hasn’t been able to do that. Teams in the NFL are not able to spend more than the amount of the salary cap each year. And, since we have so many top players that are coming up for big contracts; Dak, Amari, Zeke, Byron, Jaylon, and La’el and Robert Quinn if they have good years this year… We’ve had some good drafts recently. That puts the team in a good/bad position. Now, Jerry and the team have to risk/balance contracts carefully to avoid being caught in Salary Cap Hell. Many of us remember how that went in the past…

I think it’s sad about Zeke. I am sure he wants to be there and his heart is about the team and not about money. We only have one life, no amount of money would be worth missing out on such amazing opportunities that many, many athletes would be so grateful to have. Don’t shrink, don’t puff up, just let yourself be seen Zeke.
Nah people Zeke got help alot by Jerry Jones so zeke owes Jerry his loyalty but if we lose most of our defense cause of the offense be greedy we want never win a championship never.

The only reason i see why they’re not paying Zeke is bc of his off season antics. He’s gotten in a lot of trouble since entering the league. Amazing player but if he isn’t gonna straighten up not worth the money, and he doesn’t have the teams interest at heart, look at the Pittsburgh situation, they literally suffered so much bc of Levon, it’s a big distraction for they’re fellow players

Zeke won’t allow Jerry and Dallas to run him in the ground. It’s not a love affair it’s business and Zeke knows tomorrow isn’t guaranteed. Owners cut players at will so nothing wrong with Zeke demanding that before anyone watches him carry the football again without a new deal.
Teams need to take care of players the next CBA better be better for players.
