This wasn’t a masterpiece but we as Carolina fans will take it.
For this team to have been through the turmoil and to get back to a respectable record was nothing short of remarkable.
It seemed that the Panthers went to war for Coach Wilks and Coach Wilks believed in them enough to push them to be better.
If you are the front office for Carolina, you HAVE to strongly consider bringing Coach Wilks back.
This guy steadied the ship and the players obviously bought in to his philosophy.
Bring Coach Wilks back, Bring Sam Darnold back, draft some good offensive weapons to help get this team back to the level we know it can be.
I agree 100%. A few good draft picks would be nice, but really we don’t need different coaches and players. All we need is to play hard next season free of injuries and free of self-doubt.
@Ray’s Dad I’m sorry to disagree but our O-line needs a couple of big strong and fast young guys to make them truly solid. It has shown them getting tired near the end of games and failing to protect, block, and make lanes for the QB, RBs, and TEs to make plays for TDs or yardage. The defense could use a couple of guys to keep them fresh. We all know we need a new Corner or maybe two bc Horn is accident prone. Of course, we need a good QB1. Sam seemed a bit off today bc he’s usually accurate but I think he might want to stay as well as PJ Walker. I hate that the coach didn’t try putting PJ in when Sam threw his second INT but we won.
NO really thought they were going to win the game to the point that they tried trash-talking like the Steelers but our guys said, “Hell no!!!”. They pulled the game out!!!
I don’t know what Teppers will do but if he chooses a new Head Coach, let him be a good one with an offensive mind. I also think he should keep Wilks as an Assistant HC and get new offense and defense coaches. Wilks has earned a spot to stay there.!!! But we need to get the respect back with new infusion for this young team who has found out that they can be winners.
They just need to recruit right bc our O-line is good but they’re not great yet. I heard analysts of today’s game say we had one of the best O-lines in the league but if this were true we would have won more games and especially the game with TB last week. No, they need more help to stay fresh and not get tired and pushed around as the game goes on. We beat Seattle and the Lions and they are in the playoffs. We should have been there but we need a couple more pieces to be more solid contenders. But if our team recruits right, we will be fine and bring respect to stay back to the Carolina Panthers and Panther-Nation!!!

@Leah Miller Both Sam and PJ are good QBs but each had an awful game this season when the pass protection broke down. Maybe we can draft a few OLs who excel at pass blocking. That’s about all I have on my wish list, except maybe a WR who runs good routes and gets separation. Coach Wilks is awesome!

Carolina always burns out their good players too quick by over using them. Sure, we need another all-star WR and another Corner bc Horn is accident prone and bc that’s how Tom Brady beat Carolina as well as the O-line wearing out.

I would not be upset if he comes back but he has got to be more aggressive in championship moments (last week) and be ready to call timeouts in-game in crucial moments and I’m sold.

This team just has a different vibe and spirit with Coach Wilks running the show. I hope to see him back next year to see if he can build on this.
This has been one of my favorite Panthers seasons ever. It’s all about the story and the banding together of these men. They deserve another shot at a full season with Wilks at the helm. If Tepper wants the city of Charlotte and the players behind him, he will listen to the clear message. Hie judgment in selection hasn’t been the most sound since he took over, he should heavily consider the obvious choice. I think we could have the start of something special here.
