With no no.1 receiver and a impactful dt I don’t think it’s where it should be right now. Some holes on the team we can pinpoint. This is why they haven’t gotten over the hump and the organization is so stubborn. u should be aggressive and make moves like trading lower picks for better players. Signing free agents etc. always moving around. Not just signing cheap free agents and relying on the draft. I believe in order to win the super bowl. You make moves and u look at every team that has competed for Super Bowls make moves for impactful guys like how the rams and eagles done before. Coaching and play style can be question but it starts with the organization. We can keep building for the future but for 20+ years where has it gotten us? You want to maintain the roster and not lose guys every year fine but at some point you going to have to sacrifice some to make a run. Everyone wants to win now lol. Doesn’t mean u have to trade your no.1 picks all the time neither.

I love my Cowboys, and I i have since 76. I just don’t understand saving all that cap money and when it’s a worthy player available, Von Miller, we balk every damn time. Imagine giving DQ a guy like Von to work into his defensive scheme. He even had a discount on the table for us. They want a caliber like Miller to play on a vet minimum. Shits crazy.

The good ol’ “we like our guys” comment is getting old. Yes, they draft very well but rookies take time to develop, especially those later round draft picks. It’s not very often you get a phenom like Micah or get a very good like Diggs. You got windows closing for guys like Martin, Smith, and Lawrence. The Joneses are lining their pockets with money that all that matters to them. When winning super bowls mattered, they went out and got guys like Haley and Deon Sanders!
