Bahktiari’s salary and ongoing rehab will be an albatross around GB’s neck. He has peaked. Steno saying they need to add tackles confirmed it. They have enough tackles with a healthy 69 but it sounds like GB have huge questions about his future.
He said they need tackles because they don’t currently have a starting right tackle nor a a high enough quality back up swing tackle. Yosh was the 93 rated tackle in football last year. That’s not starter or back up material that’s emergency 3rd string play. Jenkins is better on the interior. Coming off a major knee injury it’s probably not the year for a position change. I expect them to draft their starting right tackle of the future early. Bak will be just fine and at an all pro level again this year. Bad timing on his injury but he will be just fine. Turns out his peak is the best left tackle in football so if that’s where he stays we should all be satisfied.
