    Damn, I’m last.

Rawjan 39

Whytte and McFarland speed. Connor and Snell power

    Jump Street24

@The Blue Gorilla he want be gone until possibly next year, it makes since.

    Rawjan 39

JSlam needs to go and Edmunds

    Rawjan 39

@Jump Street24 go back and look at Whyte runs tho in a short time. Then look Edmunds and J Slam

    Jump Street24

@Rawjan 39 whytte better than all them, im saying cause of injury he was are 5th or 6th back to play. Lol. He gone be 5th string which is still the practice squad. But if we need someone he gone be the 1 to step up.

    Rawjan 39

@Jump Street24 Whyte didn’t get hurt. The Oc wasn’t giving him enough snaps in the last couple of games.

David Muse

Yes Steelers went in the smart direction no head scratchers great draft all 6 picks

    a b

Cept for round 7. But that’s not their fault. There really just wasn’t much left. But even round 6. Brooks could be serious competition for Edmunds in training camp and preseason in the 2021 season. But I think by then Edmunds should develop really well. And Brooks might be able to be traded for a third or fourth round pick.

    jordan sheppard

@a b i like the twin at round 7 hes fast too at his size.

    a b

@jordan sheppard at DT speed isn’t that big. Power is.

    Samuel Bethea

Then it’s there job to make him more powerful! Strength and conditioning coach!

Sean O'Donnell

he sounds like tomlin a little bit lol, he is a great coach.

    BigPL

    Tomlin Speak…lol

    Ricardo Valentino

Tomlin & Colbert know football talent. I will be a fan no matter, can’t always win.

Adam Jenk

A lot of fans are salty about the Steelers passing on Dobbins or even hurts but I think we made a good decision on claypool and grabbing a solid Rb later in the draft. Claypool is an athletic freak who has a good attitude and a competitive nature. And the way the Steelers are able to draft and develop receivers leads me to believe claypool is gonna be a great player based on the fact we took him this early. And although Dobbins is a stud, he had a ton of carries at OSU and is not the type of back the Steelers need. We need a change of pace back who has more speed and ability to catch the ball out of the backfield. McFarland is that kind of back. And the Steelers also drafted much needed depth for the O-line and defense. So overall, I’m happy with what we did

    a b

Yeah😂 we have plenty of o line depth now.

    Ricardo Valentino

Absolutely agree w- that statement. 6), picks w – promise. Hopefully we will get a great QB next year. 1 or 2 round we do need one.

    Persoj Perfect

@Ghost Ghost bro stop spamming comments about not drafting dobbins he wouldn’t fit our scheme chill out fake fan

    jordan sheppard

@Ghost Ghost who do the ravens got at wr? Thats what i thought. Have fun running it every down against the steelers front 7. Thats 2 wins to start our season. Good luck. P.S. big ben is back.

    @jordan sheppard Facts

Solid Steelers Draft. Let’s see how this develops looking good so far.

cpoky

McFarland is like Fast Willie 2.0 with a touch of The Bus’ determination for the End Zone. That downhill power mixed with the open field speed. Once his “habit” of NOT looking behind him while hes in open field gets corrected, gonna be crazy running game for the Stillers again. Lovin the Highsmith pick too. ‘ere we go Steelers ‘ere we GO! woooo

    Steelerz Reign Supreme

    Steeler Nation, lesss goooooooo!

Ghost Ghost

Eddie…You need to trade our RB Roster. Go get Fournette

    Persoj Perfect

Why should we get a inrjuy prone diva when we have a injury prone Rb in connor if we cut connor we have McFarland Samuel’s and Snell that’s top 3 RB that will fit our scheme and team

a b

People think he’s a speed/agility guy to complement Benny Snell, and while that true don’t let it fool you. If he needs to he can and WILL power through you.

    Samuel Bethea

a b exactly he has power as well can go between the tackles

King Hutchinson

Conner, Samuels, and Benny.
I’m sorry, but this guys speed is too much to be on a bench.
They’ll be utilizing him a lot.🤐

    3kidsnwifey

This seals Samuels fate, he’ll be cut before the start of the season. He had a chance last year and couldn’t come through, not saying he’s bad but he didn’t seize the opportunity.

    Bobby Macblain

3kidsnwifey or keep 4 RB’s on the roster.

    Bobby Macblain

I only say that because I like Samuels.

Tristan Grubb

a Willie Parker type back. pretty nice.

    Leeedy 1

@Gene Smith an RB’s job isn’t to block for the QB, it’s to run the football. There’s a reason why we picked up Wisniewski and drafted Kevin Dotson. Both are guards that can protect the QB and open running holes.

    Bobby Macblain

Gene Smith bro what are you talking about? Guess who is good as a pass blocker… Conner, and Snell. This guy isn’t gonna be an every down feature back. It’s gonna be a running back by committee approach. You are dumb bruh.

    Gene Smith

@Bobby Macblain you need to practice your reading comprehension skills. I acknowledged it was running back by committee and what I pointed out was… when McFarland is on the field the defenses will key on him knowing it will be either run or quick pass. How, they will load the box and roll the corners up into press coverage. The Steelers will need to unload the ball quickly or Ben will take unnecessary hits. The pick was reactionary based on WR coming off the board. When the 49th pick came Higgins, Pittman, Shenault, and Hamler were off the board therefore they went WR because our next pick wasn’t until 102 and there was a drop off at WR after Claypool and Gandy-Golden. In so doing they passed on the better RB’s and were forced to take a smaller back in McFarland.

    Gene Smith

    @Leeedy 1 good answer hahaha

    Gene Smith

@Tristan Grubb McFarland doesn’t have that great of speed. There are guys much bigger and faster than he is that can also provide adequate pass protection. McFarland also doesn’t have enough drive through contact to finish runs. Parker ran a 4.28 and McFarland runs a 4.44 and Dobbins 4.45. As you can see practically the same speed as the bigger Dobbins. Antonio Gibson is 6′ 238lbs and ran a 4.39 with nice hands…. he is the type of back that the Steelers need to have. Until then its rb by committee and drafting one every year to replace the ones leaving because we cant pay them.

Ben Builder

No disrespect to Coach Faulker, but who da f… doesn’t dot the I’s and cross the Ts? It’s the worst idiom in the English language.

    Alfa Sierra 47

    Ben Builder 😂😂😂 u goofy

Paul Kersey

We needed to draft a feature running back to replace the fragile and mediocre Conner, who in reality is a backup. Instead, Steelers drafted a zero-impact midget.

    Leeedy 1

@Scott Cetoute & @Paul Kersey when are the 2 of you and the rest of these so called “Steelers fans” gonna stfu about JK Dobbins!? JUST STFU ABOUT IT ALREADY!!!! Both of you and the rest of the stupid Steelers fans STILL complaining about the fact that we didn’t get Dobbins!!!!!!

    Scott Cetoute

Leeedy 1 you sound like a typical Steelers fan, even if his o line made him look good as you say, he’s still better then any RB we have on our roster , and if the o line make him look good as you say , why would that matter for us since we already have a good. O line. Your telling me to Move on ? Cause I don’t want another season with piss poor production again like seriously dude , McFarland he’s a 5’8 RB who has some speed and runs outside most of the type his tape wasn’t impressive

    Leeedy 1

@Scott Cetoute well our o-line isn’t terrible, but it clearly hasn’t been the same since Mike Muncheck left for the broncos.

    MrOrlandodh12

@Scott Cetoute look at it this way nobody in this draft is safe until they produce enough to be consider a success.

fuzzy monkey 7833

I never question who the Steelers draft I’m a true fan I understand people wanting dobbins but now he will play for the purple chickens who couldn’t win with home field last year the Ravens blow

Just Me

His attitude will be what decides if he plays for the steelers. Some scouts saying he was taken off boards because of “atrocious football behavior” ? That’s some serious stuff if true

    MrOrlandodh12

It was the college coaches telling him to change his game and add weight and he said no because his style makes him unique I trust tomlin to get the best out of him.

antonie jackson

Reminds me of a young Darren Sproles!! #letsgosteelernation!!
