I don’t want to panic but that loss to the jaguars left me dead inside. Completely heartbroken to see this team fail like that. Staley is a good man but if we don’t respond with vengeance against Houston…… than he’s gona be in huge trouble

Same as it ever was with this team and franchise. I have seen this a thousand times since 88. Every time there are expectations placed upon this organization it stumbles in the most inopportune time. Its so frustrating and has gotten very old.
About to find out real quick if Staley is a head coach or just glorified coordinator that can’t win without the best talent.

Coach Staley, we want to see the offense be as explosive and dominant as it can be, but Lombardi is holding the offense back.
There was no logic for Staley to keep Herbert in the game when they were losing so badly.
The absence of a run game is holding this offense back.
@Adam Raines I agree, a bit finesse at running back and generic play calling. Also it’s plain to see they protect other injured players but young Justin is “too important” to rest. Just a business decision. smh Go ducks!!!
@JJ What Go Ducks!!! I’d add Staley said Herbert didn’t want to leave his teammates out there. He may understand the only amount of time to heal his injury is measured in months not weeks.
The tackle position is probably the 2nd most important position and Rashawn Slater was the only guarantee.. he put all his eggs in Pipkins and Slaters basket hoping nobody got injured.
Can’t win games when your defense is on the field double what the offense was. It doesn’t matter how good they are.. also seems a quite a few players aren’t in “football shape”.. maybe give these guys some preseason action and that will help with them being in football condition.
I think Staley needs to fire Joe Lombardi if we can’t beat the Texans. If we don’t, I’m gonna be pissed. This game should be Lombardis last chance
Never should of had the chance.Telasco should have told Staley flat out of you want to be a head coach you will inherit Shane Steichen who had this offense steam rolling last five games of 2020 after taking over midway thru.Staley is a young coach like Shane and would have been in no position to say no.

When the Chargers left San Diego it broke my spirit. I remained a fan and my spirit came back when Herbert played his first game because i saw Dan Fouts Drew Brees reincarnated. When Staley got rid of Pep Hamilton and the OC then hired Joe Lombardi i knew right away Staley was going to crap the bed sooner or later. Point is when you have a special generational quarterback you must do whatever it takes to tailor a offense around him with what works. Jalen Hurts looks real comfortable in Philly with our former OC while Justin is running the same play action passes throwing two yard out routes every series. When it comes to a franchise quarterback like Herbert if it broke dont fix it with a two dollar handy man. Lombardi needs to go and Justin needs to hear a new voice before we waist his career.

Like get a 10 point OR bigger lead & then [ SET ] on the lead & instead of GOING for the kill ! I thought they fired Lynn ? So, how in the hell did he get back into the building , then ?

Herbert is still getting back to it which isn’t surprising! Lots of fans with high standards for Herbert but in time he will again meet those standards!
This guy needs to understand we have dealt with the same passive way of playing football for years.As long time fans ,all we want is ultra aggression with some creativity thrown in .Bend but don’t break d,and 5 yard outs on offense are breaking 💔
I hear you man, I’ve been a fan since 03 and I can say we have had teams that can do it, but the Chargers have not had much creativity since the Schottenheimer or even the Norv Turner days. We are a lucky to have another great QB, I just wish hes not wasted like Philip was most of his career.
Excited to see how Jamaree Salyer does at LT this week; happy he’s getting the opportunity. I’m just glad Norton isn’t the one to replace Slater, was afraid the Chargers were going to stick with him despite how badly he’s been performing.

It’s weird going from so hyped during the 7 month offseason to not hyped at all in the matter of the 3 weeks so far. With the injuries and the history of the Chargers, I don’t think there’s much hope for the season
Idk what to say anymore like sometimes i thinn im in a nightmare.. are we really cursed or is our staff just this bad? With the amount of talent we got this offseason we should be contenders and to see all of our play makers injured is just gut wrenching !! Bolt Fam Stay Strong!! But we deserve changes ASAP

Enough fancy talk this was beyond a bad game this team’s coaching staff clearly shown time after time they don’t know how to manage a game causing the unbalanced play calling that led to players getting injured.
It’s time to shake this franchise into championship form⚡️🐴🏈
