I really feel bad for Skylar, but it is next man up. Teddy is what I’ve seen from him this year, not good enough. The secondary is in big trouble due to all the injuries. Some players in the secondary need to not be here next year. No names. For the Tua haters: Pick another team as your negativity is not helping.
On the same note I been a big Tua guy i still like Tua, but let’s be honest there’s a lot of money in this team a few years to do something we need a QB that can suit up every week Tua is not looking like that guy in that aspect but when he plays we all see Tua can ball. Coaching has been a let down for me HC hasn’t called a complete 4 quarter game & can’t adjust the defensive coordinator yeah we’re out alot of players but he’s been awful his schemes have been atrocious dude blitz’s to much on disguise coverages when guys can’t get back in position which even in position many of them couldn’t make to play anyway so why make it harder for them let’s also not talk about Chubb being a bust pick up
It isn’t hating to say we need a QB that can actually stay on the field and play a full season once in a while, Tua is a good QB but is just fragile and has been all along even at Alabama. Maybe is is just too small and immobile. That said I think Mcdaniel is a bigger problem. I’ve been Dolphin fan since they went 3-10-1 in 1969 playing before 30k fans every week at the OB and i’m not going anywhere. Real fans don’t change teams but are allowed to be critical. This is not China.

Skyler has raw talent, and a great arm. Get past the 7th round pick, and develop him, he has that something.

Nah he just looks way too raw to be considered a potential great QB. needs way more development.

@J- Boy no you shouldn’t feel inspired after a loss. You want someone who takes accountability for their mistakes and he did that 100%.
The first area of concern is injuries, injuries, injuries…Armstead out, Chubbs out, Howard out, Jones out. They are not playing their best 22 on both sides of the ball. That makes a huge difference. If we were at full strength right now with Tua (suffering no concussion), we could easily be 12-4 or 11-5 instead of 8-8.
You can blame it on the coaching if you want. They are the easy scape-goats but it all comes down to the players executing and winning their one on one match-ups. That’s where all games are won or lost.
The analogy I’ll give is a parenting. When you raise your kid and spend years teaching them how to make good choices in life in order to be successful- you take credit for it when things turn out great and you praise your kid for a job well done. When things don’t go according to plan and your kid is consistently making bad decisions, which prevent him from being productive- you blame the kid for not learning from his mistakes. Why do you blame the kid? Because you have to hold the kid accountable for his actions. Football is the exact same way. You can have the best coaching in the world- if the players do not execute the plays accordingly- its on the players NOT the coaches.
We lost this game because 1. Jason Sanders missed field goal. 2. Teddy throwing a pick six. 3. The botched defensive mix up where Duke Riley wasn’t supposed to cover someone and he got beat.

If this kid is a future NFL Qb, he has to pull off a Brady like performance next week! Time to be that guy he has dreamed of becoming! We have the talent around him. Just need the team to back him up!

When Skylar had first team reps going into the Vikings game – he did really well before he got injured. I really still believe this guy has the raw talent to succeed – he just needs to be developed.

I agree as well. He just needs the tutelage of a more experienced back quarterback.
