@CPSlayer 8889 Payton lied … the Saints has never drafted a deep threat at WR because Drew can’t throw that far … Drew Can throw lasers for 30+ yds but he can loft them in the air … the last deep pass he threw stayed in the air too long and was intercepted and it was against the Vikings to Ted Ginn. I do think Drew is a better option than Taysom Hill, the guy is a menace … yes he made some plays but defenses rather him with the ball than Drew.

@H Lee I think Sean Payton see himself in TH … SP was a scrub for the Bears when the NFL was on strike …and Malcolm Jenkins … the last time I looked the Saints D was ranked worst in the NFL when he played DB for them. Again like Kurt Coleman Seam Payton keeps screwing the D. They should have signed Bell… the guys been together for 4 seasons and played well.

Because you have to throw the ball the saints are not a run heavy offense and Kamara is not a work horse niether is Murray. Kamara is more effective in the pass game Murray is a 3rd down back

Theda Bertrand I’d disagree with that for 2 reasons: AK has shown he can run between the tackles and Murray is more a 1st or 2nd down back. 3rd downs are usually for your change of pace backs unless you’re in short yardage and 2) as a coach if you see something working you keep with it until they stop
It. If Sean had committed to the run throughout, he would’ve forced them to stack 8 in a box opening up things in the intermediate and deep game. Teams are just sitting back in deep zones and giving you everything underneath at this point.

@Theda Bertrand That’s not the issue, the running game have won more games since 2017 than any time in Payton’s tenure. The real problem is when and how he uses Taysom Hill. The Saints just got the ball back after the packers missed the 4 and 1. You would think a hot AK and Brees warming up he would go down and score again. NO he takes out his HOF QB and replace him with a undrafted, QB who wasn’t invited to the NFL combine in this crucial moment … this is not the first time this happened. 2020 vs the Bucs drive stalls when its 3rd and 3 TH lines up in the shotgun 5 yards behind the LOS which makes it 3rd and 8 and try to run the ball.

2019 vs the 49ers, the Saints have scored and stopped the 49ers and marching again, its 3rd and 1 but again Brees is on the sideline, TH is QB in the shotgun … so its really 3rd and 5. He runs to the right where the DROY is and get stopped and from that point the 49ers scored and the Saints were playing catchup. 2017 twice in the vs Rams championship game at the 50 he fumbled and did not make the 3rd down conversion.

I keep telling people this TH is not a QB … they paid him because of the positions he played but not to be their QB.

Chad Robbins that 3rd and 3 when Sean called that quick pass to Taysom was not a good call in that situation. Based on the success of the running game I would’ve taken my chances handing it off.
