They’re not a 3-4. They’re a 4-3 “hybrid”. Meaning sometimes they run a 5-2, which Carroll doesn’t even have the talent to run anymore but still thinks he has the defense from 2013.

We had 2 average, middle of the pack offensive lines, in 13 and 14.

You do know that he plays best in the slot, box, and the line of scrimmage not sitting in a cover 2 shell down the field that Is what we can use nickel or dime for an extra dB down the field while jamal is closer to the line

Diggs definitely needs to be able to get back to causing havoc instead of babysitting, feels like he always having to cover up mistakes

This Defense is absolutely atrocious. Pete and John have been bottom feeders at drafting, signing free agents, and trades the last half decade. Congrats on waking up from the coma you must have fallen into sometime in 2015!

@Michael actually, that’s a good point.. drew lock can be our QB1 just for this upcoming season and then release him because keeping broncos mediocre qbs should be outdated by the time next off-season arrives.

@Buck Futtler baker is no franchise QB. If we get him he will see the same fate as drew lock, getting dumped for a better QB. Why give up more money and Capital for baker, when lock is free?

@Michael too many variables in this. Is Pete insisting this is not a rebuild some kind of delusion? Baker has his issues for sure. But his rookie year, he went 27td 14int 3725yds and a 93. 7 rating. A 22 and 21 next, not ideal. Then a great year with 26 8 3500 and a 95 rating. And a playoff win on the road, and damn near beat KC on the road next. Give him a good run game and he’s capable of 10-11 wins. 18 million is a bargain for 11 wins and a road playoff win. That’s what we had with a 30 million QB, once in 5 years. (I give Pete 80% of that blame, Russ 10% and the D 10%) if the intent is for a 1 year rebuild, cut Lock, and let’s kick the tires on Jacob Eason. Save money, see what a 6’6 230 lb QB with a MUCH stronger arm than Herbert or Burrow. He may stink, or he may be a diamond in the rough.
