Hill at his fastest was running close to the world-record holder level and could have been an Olympian. That makes this video just plain silly. But I am glad that Scotty Miller has confidence. I still wish he hadn’t said it. He is better off not making himself a target because we need him being “under the radar” and now he isn’t.

But Jon, you are right that “combine 40 times” helps Scotty Miller but Tyreek could have competed at the Olympics with Hussein Bolt and would have been competitive against most of the field, except Bolt. And I am rooting for Tampa and Miller and know that Tyreek is a defender’s matchup problem and he was the ONLY receiver who scored touchdowns when these two teams met earlier in the year. Vita Vea being able to draw double-teams is a factor that wasn’t there in the first game. Also, AB versus Scotty Miller is the decision for the Bucs and when I think about rout running, AB’s changing speeds and directions would have been the ones that I thought about, except that I don’t think he is 100% yet.

@Austin Luepkes Yes. Huge difference in races. Being able to do it every time down the field might be where someone else can become more and more consistent. Tom Brady would be my example. Every quarterback who has ever played might be faster than Tom Brady and might be more athletic than Tom Brady but Tom Brady is so fricking disciplined that he capitalizes on the fact that potential only counts if you use it. They used to talk about how many brain cells people have versus how many they use and people like Einstein used more of them than most human beings.

Interesting idea. But he is so tiny I’m afraid he could fumble/get injured. And we do need him to run those deep routes.
