I was getting a bit upset when there was trade rumors involving barkley. This guy will be back this season ready to prove he an elite player in this league

Hope Saquan blows up this year and shuts the haters up since he seems like a good kid that wants to play the game and help his team. Wish the best for him to have a healthy and productive season.

Daniel Jones will have a lot to prove this year too. Make or break for both. O-line being built well, good draft prospects, high picks. No excuses. I hope Saquon has a comeback year 🔥

The number one thing he has to prove is staying on the field. To many injuries that’s his problem.

I’m so hyped for this upcoming season with this team that is so close to becoming top tier. I personally am hoping that we pick Ickey ekwonu and travon walker in the draft. But if we get sauce Gardner at 7 or kavon Thibodeaux I’ll be happy too. If we can’t get Ickey we gotta get Evan Neal.

Man, I have to admit that I was one of the ones that wanted Barkley traded but Im glad he’s staying and he looks great. I hope he stays healthy and has a great year. Go Big Blue

Just as John Mara pointed out, it’s obvious the Giants management & coachong have undermined & failed the Giants the past 6+ years especially Daniel Jones & Saquon. They should have been able to build on their successful rookie years but instead the Giants helped them regress. Gettleman may have picked some good players like McKinney & Ojulari but he ignored the two vital areas linked to a teams success. Namely the trenches on the offensive & defensive sides. Gettleman explicitly stated he wanted to “fix the Oline once & for all” but failed miserably. Now we also had an abnormal amount of injuries which exacerbated issues & weaknesses. For example, Gettleman drafted 3 Olineman in one draft (Thomas, Peart & Lemieux in the 2020 draft). After their rookie years & varying levels of playing time & success he planned along with Judge to have them take over 3/5 of the Oline which is crazy. They also cut their best & most experienced Olineman in Kevin Zeitler which proved to be short sighted & dumb.

Anyway, the most consistent thing about the Giants has been inconsistency. They changed head coaches 3 times in 6 years with multiple coaching staff changes as well. This has been a disservice to Daniel Jones. The offensive line & pass rush have been abysmal. They have played well at times & there has been effort but there just wasn’t enough talent & depth to overcome the injuries & lack of talent.

We had to clean house & the picks for GM & Head Coach in Joe Schoen & Brian Daboll just feel right. They strike me as smart, prepared & genuine. I think their experience working together will be a huge benefit. They have had experience & success with a winner which have prepared them for these new jobs. They are rookies in their new roles but it seems like they’ve made a seamless transition to them. You can feel the sense of urgency. Schoen has already made more shrewd & smart moves to improve the Oline in a few months than Gettleman did over the course of a few years.

I expect Schoen will surround Daboll with a good roster & Daboll will mold this team into a cohesive unit. Furthermore, I expect Daboll & Kafka will build an offense to the strengths of Jones & Barkley instead of dumbing it down or trying to minimize weaknesses real or perceived as previous offensive coordinators have done. Hopefully Jones & Barkley can stay healthy & have big years which we can build on. This year is vital for them & their futures will be judged fairly or unfairly on their performances this year. Ultimately football is a results business like most places & Jones & Barkley need to at least show they can have a year similar to their rookie years. I expect this team to be a lot more competitive this year & may even surprise a few people.

I have high hopes for Saquon I really do hope he can retire a Giant

Shame on you “Trade Barkley” people. This guy represents everything right about the NYGiants. He’s the last bit of leadership and identity the Giants have left. In due time you’ll see him shine and you’ll be embarrassed.

Instant love that never wained during your struggle with inept Giants. I hope it is as a Giant, but where ever you take flight, I will be smiling.

Listen. We’ve been hard on these guys man. Rightfully so. However we all know the roster wasn’t built properly. Let them work. Let Daboll & his team he assembled work with these guys. It might take more than 1 year. All we want to see is progression. I feel good about this, this time.

One of the first times in a while I’m genuinely excited for the Giants this season. There’s a lot of pressure on a lot of players here so I’m interested to see how they do. Even the new coaching should be interesting to look at going forwards.

All I know for all those who claimed Saquon was a “bust” or “injury prone and needs to be traded”. KEEP THAT SAME ENERGY. As he stated. Stepping on someone’s foot and twisting it is something out of his control and accident that could of happen to anyone. Hope he shocks the NFL like he did rookie season, and silences all the BS fake fans. Lets get it Barkley

How could people actually hate this dude..He’s such a good kid and a weapon when healthy..A good piece in the Lockeroom..I honestly hope he balls out and we retain him at a reasonable team friendly deal with incentives..The fans that want to trade him for a 4th or 5th round pick are lost..Daboll is gunna use him all types of ways..and fans are going to realize with a better Oline and Playcalling Saquon is weapon

Very noticeable change in his attitude from the end of last year. He seemed so uncomfortable and like he didn’t wanted to be here at all. Happy to see the smiling saquon back, hope it translates to the field

How can you not root for this kid???
