@trashawn hughes More physical than Murray? No Payton was smelling himself as usual. They almost lost the game for the same reason vs Carolina. Sean Payton ruins drives when Drew is hot and he takes him out and put in Taysom Hill at QB. I rather have Drew in knowing that the D can’t key on just the run than have TH in knowing 90% of the time he will run. If Drew passes there is an 95% chance it will be completed. With TH is at QB there is a 50% chance he will complete the pass and its that high because he will run 90% of the time on a designed pass play.

Sean Payton take unnecessary chances when the team has a lead.

The first TD was Klien fault, in the Cover 2 he let the TE get behind him, Alex and Alonzo use to never let a crossing receiver go unchecked in a Cover 2. Again on most running plays when the Saints are in the Cover 2 Klein is drawn to the inside and he has been done so many times. Either a back will go inside and cut out where Klein suppose to be or like this reverse all Klein suppose to do is fill the gap and not go with the flow of the line. As usual the Saints give up big yards because Klein is not there for the cut-back or reverse to the same side if a RB would cutback. 3rd Quarter 2nd and 7 again, Klein is compromised, the back gets to the outside because Klein does not fill. The 3rd TD Klein did what he suppose to do he dropped back in coverage but he didn’t stay in coverage. When the QB scrambled there were 3 defenders around him, the receiver ran to the spot where Klein was caught the pass and TD.4th quarter Klein no longer steps up to read run but drop back, no fill, the RB gains huge yards.

@Lucas Bolinger Thanks, I’m not sure why he believes that beating N.O. would’ve locked up a spot. At this point, the only thing that GUARANTEES a playoff birth is a win over HOU. Let’s say we did beat N.O. yesterday, that means we’d eliminate CLE and OAK, on the account that we would have 9 wins. The best they could do would be 8-8. So, we beat N.O. , that’d mean we’re 9-6. PIT lost yesterday, so they’d be 8-7. We’d still have to play week 17.

Let’s say we beat N.O. and lost against HOU, we’d be 9-7. If PIT beat BAL, they’d be 9-7. But they’d get in because they’d have the better conference record. If we lost to HOU we’d have to hope that they lose to BAL because we’d get in at 9-7 versus their 8-8. So even if we did beat N.O. which would’ve put us at 9-7, we’d still have to beat HOU to clinch a playoff spot with a 10-6 record. See, if PIT beats BAL, they be 9-7 to our 10-6.

@Noah Snow I’m faulting SP who on several occasions took out Drew and put in their 3rd string QB that ruined drives. The NFC Championship game, the whole universe knew it was a run yet SP call it twice and failed. This season, vs ATL, 49ers, and almost the Panthers which could have been another lost. Drives were ruined when TH entered as QB. Either they didn’t score or kicked a field goal. I have been consistent when viewing other teams … when the D struggles and the team have a good offense, its up to the offense to score. The offense did not score in the 1st quarter. The D shut the Titans out in the 2nd quarter and the offense one of the top 5 offenses managed only 10 pts. SP if he keeps this up the Saints will be sitting at home again. I don’t care how smart he is all he’s done is out smarted himself.

At 7:10 when it was 3rd and 1 and Taysom was shotgun with an empty back field. The whole defense keyed on him when he went to run, and he still got the first. You just know Payton saw that and is working up a fake run – pass for the next time they use that play.

@Larry Baxter It worked this time vs the 49ers it didn’t. The Saints were leading and it was 3rd and 1 and it killed the drive. TH was in the shot gun 3rd and 1 with the DROY on the outside waiting on him. Look all you are doing in making excuses if Sean Payton would listen to his former coach and use the plays the execute well they would have beaten the 49ers, the Falcons the first time and not struggle vs the panthers. I know this when the Saints just relied of real QB play they are undefeated and when they ruin drives with gadgets they are 3-3. I picked the Saints to go 11-5 in 2017, 13-3 in 2018, and 12-4 in 2019 basically for what I seen in SP play calling he would cause them to lose more games than he need too. Will he prove me wrong?

One season? That’s it? Glad you don’t have a vote. Stellar season and all but receptions is an overrated stat. YPC/Yards/TDS are far more important. If he had broken yards and TDs in one season, it STILL would’ve taken more than one season to join the hall.
