1. if you have two great pass catching + YAC machine RBs, you use them. plus, it isn’t like Matty was checking down conservatively – Freeman and Coleman were tearing off chunk yardage every game.
2. Falcons had a ton of succesful deep ball that season, with three legit deep threats on WR including, y’know, 11.

these are the teams that are good in the nfc: bucs, rams, packers and seahawks. only the rams defense is complete. if drew brees is back, then the saints would be the most complete in defense and offense and playoffs experience

The only reason the Falcons completed that one touchdown drive was because of the penalties. Look how many consecutive quarters the Saints D had not allowed a TD prior to that. Its real good, no mistake. I just hope it is good enough to stop the Steelers or the Chiefs offense, especially since they allowed the quarterbackless Broncos to score one field goal last week.
@Larry Baxter The field goal that Denver scored came following a Taysom Hill interception near mid field. The New Orleans defense came on the field and didnt allow a single yard but the Broncos were already in field goal range so you cant even blame the saint defense for that

We were missing Jenkins this game. Although Lattimore is our best cb overall Jenkins has been the best in coverage this year imo. Lattimore was getting worked.

Finally the voice of reason. Every year isn’t going to be a sb or playoff year. New Orleans is playing with fire. You’re going straight to see Rodgers and maybe Mahomes. Why risk not knowing your full potential in the lions den because its fun to watch the wildcat guy??? I don’t like that strategy. This is your one chance to make Jamis the qb you need him to be against weakest teams in the rest of the regular season.
Either way you know as well as I do Taysom does not need to be on the field during the playoffs. Or else we wouldn’t be getting excited and scared about the silly positions he puts himself in. You don’t plan on trading Winston whatsoever. You just don’t trust Taysom either.

@RealTalk The Saints are being entirely too smart for their own good. They’re certainly not positioning themselves to trade Winston in any way shape or form and they’re certainly not training Tayson Hill to be a playoff quarterback. The playbook seems dumbed down. I understand this is the weakest regular season left that anyone can ask for but the only team you might see in the playoffs without a gunslinger is Seattle. You are a better team. But they have a lot more playoff experience. Perpare for whats coming instead of just try to drive down Winstons renegotiation price because you know you ultimately are going to need a starting QB that you can afford.
Taysom is a good QB. Deep passes and fumbling he needs to work on that. Those are both fixable
He has potential to be a really good dual threat.
