Saints RB Sproles being tested for concussion

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — New Orleans Saints running back Darren Sproles was taken to the locker room for a concussion evaluation during the first quarter Sunday against the New York Jets.

Sproles was officially announced as questionable to return.

Sproles left the game after taking a big hit on a 2-yard reception during the Saints’ opening drive.

He was replaced by receiver Lance Moore on punt returns and running back Travaris Cadet on kickoff returns.

Running backs Pierre Thomas, Mark Ingram and Cadet remain active for the Saints.
