Even though I feel like we’ve been sandbagging/ holding some cards up our sleeves lately, I wouldn’t count on first half Russ showing up. We kissed that ‘Russ cooking mentality’ goodbye when he started turning over the ball at alarming rates. To be positive- it’s abundantly clear we’ve been limiting Carson’s touches for 6 straight games in order to keep him healthy for the next 4 games. I’m not suggesting we will become a ground and pound 2013-2016 offense during the playoffs but unleashing Carson, Hyde and Penny should theoretically help open up the passing game.

I’d like to see us using our TE’s more. 2 TE sometimes 3 TE sets to help the running game should also give us opportunities to sell the run then pass to a TE who releases or help us on explosive plays as we bring their Defense up to stop the runs. I can’t remember one game all year where we had a TE catch more than 5 or 6 passes. Hopefully that works in our favor- as I said, I honestly believe we’ve been sandbagging lately. I know it seems like we’ve drawn the worst matchup (for us) this weekend since we’ve had little success over McVay’s LAR team but have the faith 12’s, we have an overall better, more rounded team than LA. As long as we can stay healthy for up to 4 games IMO we have as good a chance as any team in the NFC- we have a future hall of fame QB who knows what it takes to win it all. Keep the faith

It’s clear as day established the run and the line of scrimmage and open up the passing lanes …. again no dis respect to the TE but we have 2 1,000 yard reviewers most teams average 1 receiver 800 yards so the passing game is good … and being Carson missed a lot of games he still almost got 700 yards ..: the pass game is the best we have seen as Seattle fans Nevermind the TE we need to keep the defense HOT (because it’s on a streak ) and let Carson and Hyde cook ….. DEC . JAN football is hard it’s the end of the season people are getting hurt , players are tired so I get it it’s not that we have been sand bagging it’s just the way foot ball is ….

@Joseph Webb You misunderstand me- I brought up an example of using Tight Ends AND the running game as a means to set up the passing game.

Re- sandbagging, you have absolutely no idea if we are setting up opponents by having Russell be more of a game manager over the last 6 games. How could you? Wouldn’t you want your HC and OC to use some form of deception heading into the playoffs?

Re: Carson, his rushing attempts, snaps and snap % has absolutely been limited over the last 6 games. Look at his stats over his last 3 years then look at the last 6 games. Carson has been barely used when we’ve been inside the Red-Zone over the last 6 games. I guarantee you Carson will be featured more in the red-zone over the playoffs- if that’s not sandbagging I don’t know what is. Carroll is clearly trying to keep Carson fresh for the playoffs. Why wouldn’t he?

@Abram i know but unlike them he doesn’t rage after a loss. He incourges his team. And never left settle. Never got injured and always had to play with a new offense and defense. Bad and good, and has kept the Seahawks a winning team

He’s being paid to win us games. He’s the best QB in the league, according to himself, so don’t judge him based on the few games he won us. Judge him based on the few games he lost us and how he’s looked mediocre or complete crap for half the year. Are we paying him for that?

Without him, I don’t think the hawks are even 8-8 this year.
