@michael b -think about this, Rodgers was given 3 years as a first round pick to sit and learn on a SB contender.
In his 4th year, he took over and led them to a 6-10 season.
Mahomes as a first round pick sat a year on a playoff team where Alex Smith looked like the Ryan Tannehill we see today.
Wilson didn’t have that luxury.
Instead he changed that entire franchise as a afterthought and folks are now backstabbing him?
The problem from Day 1 was the black guys on the team were jealous of his success and that divided the team.
Percy Harvin was a huge mistake.
Brandon Browner is in prison
Richard Sherman just pleaded guilty to crimes.
Earl Thomas’ foolishness off the field is why no team would touch him.
Michael Bennett acted crazy and no team grabbed him.
That’s the type of characters Pete Carroll allowed to run his locker room.
Teams found out real quick that Malcolm Smith and Byron Maxwell were not that good.
Both Cliff Avril and Kam Chancellor had career ending injuries.
Seattle gave KJ Wright 11 years and Bobby Wagner 10 years.
Despite all of that, Wilson, when his RBs like Rawls, Carson (3 times) and Penny stayed injured, when Lacy was a bust and his weapons like Lockette (career ending injury), Lockett (broken leg), Baldwin (ended his career) and Dissly twice had short years, when they changed kickers 4 straight years, he CARRIED Seattle to 10, 11 and 12 win seasons when other QBs were having losing years.
In 2019 when Gordon was suspended, Lynch came off the couch, Wilson with the practice squad tight end had them 1 yard short of a 12 win season, a sweep of the SB bound 49ers and a NFC West title
Who could blame Wilson for wanting to get out of that hot mess?
Think of the young players who became key players early playing with Wilson.

Golden Tate and Baldwin. Tate’s career best yards per catch and TD percentage came the 2 years he played with Russ.
Lynch had his best run from 2011-2014 and the last 3 with Wilson.
Lockett and DK Metcalf became stars with Wilson.
Seattle is going to find out what the OKC Thunder found out when Kevin Durant walked away.

Man I got goosebumps watching some of those plays… Russ was one of the reasons why I became a seahawks fan in the first place, it’s so sad to see him go but I’m also happy for him

I have been a Russell Wilson fan ever since he was a rookie! My father, a big Seahawks fan since the 80’s loved him. I can still recall how much he was filled with joy when Russ and The Legion of Boom won Super Bowl XLVIII. Thank you Russell Wilson.
He better not leave he loves his wide receivers , not his o line so much n obviously he loves Wagner but d backs aren’t there hopefully he sits down wit Pete gets o line n d backs.

My dad was huge for Seattle, however our tales are opposite. My dad tragically died before getting the chance of ever seeing russ play. Before seeing them win a ring. And he died at the age of 28, if only he waited at least 2 more years to see our future. I can only imagine how joyful he himself would have been. He went to Seattles first super bowl and had an Alexander jersey signed. As for me, I’m sad to see Russ go. This will be the 2nd franchise QB I see leave Seattle, but last time we ended up getting our first super bowl years later following the departure of Hasselbeck. I hope we rebound from the Legacy Russ left us, as well as Bubby. Best of luck in his endeavors, and heres to hoping we draft Kenny Pickett

Russ was such a great quarterback to have in Seattle. I miss him so much after the trade as a 12.😭
A generational talent at QB. Even when they were down in games, you could never truly count the Seahawks out because they had DangerRuss helming the offense. Just a shame that as he came into his prime, the coaching staff never made the adjustments to allow him to find any success. And guess what Seattle fans, we’re stuck with Pete’s run-first offense for at least another 2 years as they build a new team before Carroll’s retirement, but with his signature roster picks all over it.
I know Russ is expensive, and given the ludicrous extension offered to crybaby Rodgers, there’s no way they would have been re-signing Wilson after next season. Better to send off the asset for all the picks they need to hit the reset button. But considering they’ve made the decision to build a new, young team, coached by the oldest coach in pro football is probably making it the least inspiring place to play, with a playbook that is ten years out of date. If we’re truly cleaning house, waiving the likes of Bobby Wagner and trading away Russ, start from scratch with new coaches, too. The problem with the Seahawks never came from it’s players, it came down to poor coaching decisions in key moments. Russ papered over a lot of Carroll’s shortcomings, and we’ll get to see that more prominently this season. I wish Russ nothing but success in Denver. Buckle in for the next era of pain, Seahawks fans. Lightning rarely strikes twice.
I totally agree with you, we need to reset head coacha and GM as well but owner doesn’t know football so Pete control everything and he won’t fire himself until retirement !

Not a great list. Russell Wilson is a highlight machine. I could replace 7 or 8 of those with much better plays.

That 13yd pass against the Rams for a TD was one of the greatest passes I have ever seen.
Yeah that makes Montana to Clark look outdated even as stunning as it was for the win for the 9ers.
I am a Rams fan and remember watching that game. I was convinced it was caught out of bounds. No way it was complete. Then I saw the replay. Wow. Glad the Rams don’t need to deal with him anymore. He’s one of the best.
