Fellow hawks fan here, and i agree. I noticed that after the first game or two. Russ was always the face of positivity in seattle, even when things werent going that great. This season he seems depressed, unenthusiastic, and just down. Not the guy we all knew for the last decade.
Im now remembering a couple press conferences last year too, where he seemed a little down and not his usual self. At the time I was actually starting to think he might have a secret drug problem

Well this all boils down to 3 words: “let Russ cook.” The Broncos gave up 2 first round draft picks and 2 second round draft picks and the tight end they drafted 1st round in 2019 because the Seahawks wouldn’t let Russ cook and the Broncos would. This would make the Broncos Superbowl favorites and Wilson the MVP. So why aren’t they letting Russ cook?
Wilson was part of a system in Seattle….he wasn’t the head Chef and never was. Wilson thinks he’s better than he really is, and thank the holy mother of — that Denver bought into the idea he was that player and gave my Seahawks a kings ransom for Wilson. I love you Denver….I really do.
@John-Paul C well to his credit I don’t think he’s slowed down this year although he’s at that age they start to lose their legs. Wait until his 5’10” frame has to sit in the pocket.

Playing calling and O-line were the weakest links tonight. Everything (besides the D) looks just discombobulated and I blame the leadership. The fish rots from the head and I really don’t know if Hackett can be The Guy. Tough times but I still got love for my team. Stay strong and keep working Broncos! The faithful fans still support you and Better days are ahead! Let’s go!!!!

You are right on. Broncos still my team. The play calling horrible. No offensive line. The second quarter was the best snappy moved the ball. Takes awhile. A bronc just out of the chute needs work before it’s good. Let’s Ride

The biggest weakness tonight was penalties….. ridiculous personal fouls… 150 yards lost on penalties…..

First time I’ve ever heard Russ not use a catchphrase at the end of an interview. His PR team must have told him how bad it looked after the last time.
In Seattle, we got sick of his phoniness, and his “GO SEAHAWKS” after every interview. He needs to change the “let’s ride” to “RIDE CIARA!”

@Kenneth Rohen It was never “Go Seahawks”. It was “Go Hawks” which makes me very suspicious if you’re even telling the truth with your reply or if you’re just jumping on the “I hate Russ” bandwagon.
I’m a hawks fan and I’m no NFL coach but I like to think I’m fairly knowledgeable when it comes to play calling and techniques… and man there are more issues with Denver than Russ. I get it, he’s the QB and he will get the blame cuz his standard is so high being one of the best but I won’t be surprised if Hackett is let go after this season.
Hopefully after this week dude is horrible as a coach

@HawkLad™ what I mean by play calling is they seem to be trying to beat the defense rather than playing to their strengths and making the defense beat them. They throw their most talented receivers right into drop zone coverage exactly where the safety’s want them. (Among other problems) Technique wise, the receivers are running high school routes. no cuts, no rubs, no slip unders or overs, nothing. I played football in college (small college) and I seriously think our offense made more sense than Denver’s does right now lol.
I hate to see Russ and the team go through these disappointing losses. I feel strongly they will come out on the other side. This is what growing pains look like. The play calling has to improve. From there, the chemistry will improve. This is a revamped team and chemistry takes time to build. I think the entire team is frustrated. Russ is playing injured and still competing at a high level! He gives his absolute all!! The entire team works so hard!! They want to win for the fans and themselves. Bronco fans can throw a tantrum like no other. Stick by your team!! Encourage them!!
I’ll always stick by my favorite team. This is bullshit, yes, but I’ve been here with; Trevor Siemian, Paxton Lynch, Brock Osweiler, Case Keenum, Joe Flacco, Drew Lock, Teddy Bridgewater, Brett Rypien, all those bums.
What’s holding them back is the OL. Russ was running for his life every pass. Cushenberry keeps getting pushed around
The tackles are terrible. Meinerz and Dalton are ok, but until they get a new center and tackles I don’t see how they improve.
I’m sick of the Hackett slander. How many yards did Russ throw for after the 1st quarter. We were better with lock, fant and the draft picks. This is the most frustrated I’ve been as a fan of any sport. Our defence is standing on their head and our offence isn’t performing.
How much time did Russell have to throw?
Thank you defense and the one-year, coach we have on that side of the ball you are not getting enough recognition.
I will say it again, the offense of the line has sucked for a long time now, since Manning, the only difference is, Payton Manning, could read the defense, and from what I see, Russ can’t which after ten years in the league is surprising. Sean Payton better be out there looking for a better offense of line and some great running backs and now that all the money is tied up in the quarterback, well, start looking for offense coaches from head to the play calling to the strengthening.
This is like watching your favorite boxer take too many punches but still have heart to stand in there. Russ escapability is no more. Its like he cant feel the rush anymore and escape the pocket or throw it away.
Russ is old , mobile QB’s have always and will always deteriorate at 32 years of age . For one at 33 years old he doesn’t want to get hit because he doesn’t recover from soreness in a few days like he did at 28 years old , so now all the bruises compound and accumulate after every week making him sore and stiff . Also once you get to be around 32 you start to lose a step in quickness , he also seems to have evolved into a body builder and seems obsessed with weight lifting which as a QB is not needed as big muscles get tired quicker and you’re not as flexible .
…..Denver is screwed because no other team is going to take that contract , good luck .

Adversity doesn’t always break you sometimes it humbles at the Same time out wr’s, offensive line and rb’s need to figure out how to create separation and play better to help the qb

“Felt like we should of won that game tonight” I felt like the only game you could argue we shouldn’t of won was the Raiders game and even that was close. We just don’t make the key plays or keep drives alive. This offense is miserable.
Aside from the 1st Quarter for the Chargers, both defenses were absolute nails for the entire game and OT. It took a special teams play nearing the end of OT to decide the game. Both clubs fans should be really excited about the ability of their defense going forward, as these two defenses are the class of the division.
Russ only had 1 losing season his entire career. That was last year when he broke his finger. This is a new chapter for russ. Wish him all the best.
