I think it’s possible that there was no wrong guy. They both look great and I think they are both the right fits for their cities.
monkeyDRIP it’s possible but highly unlikely. There will always be comparisons, as with the 2004 draft class it went Eli, Rivers, Ben, but Ben will always be looked as better than rivers because of the super bowl.
Been loving the play of justin herbert. Only thing I wish is that he’d punish teams a little more with his legs. Feel like 95% of the read options result in handoffs and there’s been a couple times where he climbs the pocket with a lot of green in front of him that he doesn’t take.
They don’t want to risk him getting hurt .

Down 4, the offense gets the ball at our own 1 yard line. Herbert goes 8 for 8, driving the length of the field, 98 yards. On 2nd and goal Guyton gets the ball on a wide receiver end around sweep. He dives for the pylon and scores the game winning touchdown with only a few seconds to go.
On review Guyton lost control of the ball a milisecond before breaking the plane. The ball was fumbled through the endzone. There is no 3rd and goal to go as the play is called a touchback and the Dolphins take over to take a knee.
Tua wins rookie of the week with 99 yards passing 1 TD 1 INT and 1 Rushing TD.
Herbert goes for 301 2TD and leads the team in rushing again with 16 yards.
