Ron Raccuia: “This Will Be The Greatest Home Field Advantage in the NFL” | One Bills Live

Bills EVP/Chief Operating Officer Ron Raccuia joined One Bills Live to discuss Thursday's unveiling of the new stadium renderings. He discussed what went into the vision for the outside of the stadium and the importance in honoring Western New York. He explained the design of the stacked seating inside and the enhanced atmosphere for the fan experience. Finally he discussed the next steps with the stadium build and the upcoming interactive sales center.

There is evidence the weather cost us a game because it happened LAST SEASON and cost them home field against the Chiefs because they lost to the Pats in the wind game in December.     I don’t understand why it will seat ~66,000. To make up the difference from Highmark they will “jack up” ticket prices and there aren’t that many companies/businesses in Buffalo (unlike Toronto) that will buy up blocks of tickets for their employees to give as perks. I would guess they will trying to lure more Southern Ontario fans to buy season tickets (Southern Ontario/GTA currently make up ~15% of Bills’ season tickets)

The weather in Buffalo is not an advantage for the Bills and never was. Why is it people think because the great Bills teams in early to mid 90s played well in the weather and that means it must mean the weather is an advantage to them? Here’s an idea…maybe they were just great teams and the weather had nothing to do with it. The weather literally cost the Bills home field against the Chiefs LAST SEASON because they lost to the Pats in the wind game in December. Mac Jones threw THREE passes. Imagine thinking wind, cold, and snow is an advantage for the Bills pass happy offense. The goobers that keep making this BS claim about the weather benefiting the Bills just need to STOP.

    That’s because we were also calling run plays when we shouldn’t have. Allen was throwing fine in the wind when I watched him on the sidelines whine he was staying loose. We started to throw more later on in the game. Our defense couldn’t stop the run that game. It was bad coaching that took that game from us, not bad weather

Feel like the Titans forced the team’s plan when to reveal the renderings. The announced a new stadium and then showed renderings in under a week. Or at least felt that short. It was months in between for the Bills.

The truth is, I am all consumed about what the ticket prices will be. I honestly think that present day ticket pricing at the existing Bills stadium is on the upper level of what folks can afford in the Buffalo, NY area. A new stadium is cool and all but, if fans cannot afford the cost, especially if the ticket prices go up significantly, then it is not going to matter one way or the other.
