Never on the field, or dropped his biggest chance. Pickens AND Pierce were on the board yet but we spend TWO number 2 picks on this dud! If the team was on a rebuild, sure pic the players that wont contribute for a few years. By the time Watson is ready Rodgers will be gone. Then Love will get a chance, blow it and it will be another new QB. By then, probably wont pick up his contract and he’s gone. BAD DRAFT

@Matt Watson is nothing like mvs, I never understood that comparison. When it comes to explosiveness he makes mvs look slow. his ceiling is much higher than mvs and doubs. doubs will be a great wr2 but Watson will be a game changer.

@Tie One On listen to you. You said Watson is a worse pick than love. You just can’t defend that. Watson is already getting into the starting lineup. Regardless of a drop and some injuries he’s in the mix and has gotten a TD and touches, and will most likely continue to as the concussion doesn’t look to keep him out any longer. His presence as an explosive player on the field gives a defense something to think about. This is already more impact than Love has on the packers. We shouldn’t have to also restate how love was drafted, the capital given up, and the fact he won’t even contribute to this team until we possibly have to pay over 20 million for a 5th year option in which he might not even start or be a packers beyond that, etc. Watson is 8 games into his career and his packers future is all in front, and as long as he’s healthy he’s going to be in the starting lineup from the back half of this year and into the future. And as long as healthy, we will get production from him on a rookie contract. Not love though.

@Sobckt21 it’s an easy comparison, they both have great speed, can fly by guys, and have drop issue history, regardless of any of the other differences they have in athleticism or football skill. Even their injury missed time is similar (hamstring). As I mentioned earlier, we have no idea that Watson will turn into an amazing game changer number 1 and doubs will be the 2. Could very well be flipped, or Watson could have injuries derail his early career and just be this speedy deep threat motion guy that never really sticks anywhere. Doubs might just end up a 3. We don’t know, and there’s examples why we don’t know every year.
