Rod Streater’s Instant Fantasy Reaction After Week 12 Performance

The Oakland Raiders lost a tough one to the Tennessee Titans, but wide receiver Rod Streater had a solid game and is starting to emerge as an interesting fantasy option.

Would you consider picking up and/or starting Rod Streater after this game?

Would you consider picking up and/or starting Rod Streater after this game?

  • Yes, I’ll pick him up and start him.

  • Yes, I’ll pick him up, but I won’t start him.

  • No, I won’t pick him up.

The Titans pulled off the win 23-19, but it wasn’t all bad for the Raiders.  Streater made some nice plays, grabbing 93 receiving yards on just five receptions.  In ESPN’s standard-scoring leagues, that was good enough for nine fantasy points.

Streater is continuing to be a more productive player.  Heading into this game, he’d already put up 507 yards and two touchdowns on 35 receptions.  He’s had at least 84 receiving yards in three of his last four games, and he had a solid 14-point outing in last week’s game against the Houston Texans.

With Matt McGloin as his quarterback, Streater is getting more involved in the offense.  With how well McGloin has played in the past two games, the odds of him starting for the rest of the season are pretty high.

Still, it’s hard to feel too confident in Streater.  The Raiders don’t have the most effective passing game, and Streater isn’t even the No. 1 target.  He might be an interesting player to add, but I would be wary of starting him unless you’re completely desperate for a flex player.
