@JT Yeah it is so bad now and it seemed to get worse after covid with the announcers being in strange places even made it worse. I would pay for a stream of it in sink with the game for sure.

On Play #1: Why didnt the WR’s cut to the center of the field so Cobb wouldve had just a safety on him? He’d have already beaten the LB.
Because that’s not how the play was called. Receivers need to be where the QB expects them to be. This isn’t street ball. Sometimes their route tree allows for that. I’m guessing not this time. They probably want them to block if the play works as planned.
@George Lucas – I meant why wasnt the play designed that way? Seems if the WR’s went inside, AJ wouldve had to only deal with two defenders (one that he already blew by) instead of four. There’s no need for blocking if two defenders are way off the ball carrier.

Sometimes I feel like pro athletes actually see the game at the speed of that slo-mo replay.
Pros like Aaron see this game way way way differently than we perceive it as it’s happening. He’s playing many games within the game. Like he’s looking at a receiver, wide eyed, like I’m comin to you, so corner get ready to play defense, then the rest of the defense is alerted to this stare down…….. then he snaps the ball continues to stare him down then at the least millisecond he throws a bullet to a receiver he knew was going to be there because he knows all the plays inside and out.

Rodgers can tell you from memory what happened on nearly every play with absurd clarity. He’ll tell you what defense they were in, who was covering who. It’s like a photographic memory, but he’s not unique. Brady, Manning, Big Ben can all do it too. It’s a different way of seeing things that they get trained to do.
