Sports Teams should stay out of politics – and thats what this is .. all politics ,,, I was laying on the floor watching the lions play the Saints when Dempsey kicked a 63 yard field goal to beat the lions on the last play of the game.. That was 1970 .. I have been a loyal Lions Fan my entire life – right now I feel no allegiance to this team what-so-ever.. Investigation of the shooting hadnt even started yet and you all boycott your own sport .. done with you .. and saying that hurts me worse than any of you can know
These guys are people and at the end of the day they’re gonna support what they believe and you shouldn’t despise a team for their beliefs off the field
People are dying at the hands of police officers and if they don’t take a stand who else is going so this is just the start of something that’s going to be beautiful and help in end this huge problem we have with racism you shouldn’t view them negatively for standing up in their beliefs you would do the same like you are now with not respecting the team
