Gronk is the soul of that offense. Not the same team without him there.
@Sabastian Shaw you make some valid points. But what did y’all do before Brady, Gronk, AB and Lenny got there? How many playoff games did you win? How many teams “ feared “ you? How many times were y’all projected to go to the super bowl? Yeah, there is a lot going on that was already there. The GM did a great job. But you’re nothing without the right people there to take it to the next level. 5k yard passer, nothing to show for it. Two 1k yard receivers, nothing to show for it. Good foundation on defense, didn’t produce anything. Without Tom and the guys that followed him. You would be exactly where you were before they arrived. Praying for a winning season and waiting on the draft! Now go sit down and thank god the GOAT chose you!

@Ketrel Andrade no doubt the Buccaneers are not the same team without a healthy Gronk now a healthy AB and Gronk they are the best offensive unit in the league when everyone is playing i fear no team
I personally LIKE that Gronk slid and I LOVE that he articulated why. He knew they would hit him hard because of it being the 4th quarter and he didn’t risk injury. BA, leave him alone. He got his 2 tuddies and that drive he got the 1st down. Something like 14 or 15 yards. When Gronk was on the Patriots, I always loved the times 3 players were dragging him down but, NOW, I value healthy Gronk so much that I want him to slide now and then. Plus, if they punched the ball out, Tampa could have lost the game.
Gronk, if BA gets on you for not sliding, punch that man in the face.
@Charles Fischer Laughing. Bruce has a gun and had threatened to use it if anyone gave him COVID. I am just thinking that Gronk probably used wisdom but he knows coach is gonna get on him and I am posting this to change BA’s mind. BA would have had him not slide, maybe get 1 or 2 more yards, maybe get injured or get a ball punched out.

@Charles Fischer Also, I am relieved every time Tom slides and I was watching a documentary and several players talked about how differently teams play in the 4th quarter.
@Charles Fischer Also, Gronk’s expression when he said that they had done that many passing plays to the point that it was past their normal stamina, I really think they sometimes risk injury when it isn’t necessary.
Gronk has this persona of silly and kind of a dumb lug, but he is a SUPER smart player and shows that the NFL ain’t just about raw physical skills. Just listen to him explain the logic behind the slide.
As a patriots fan I remember we lost gronk for the season, when he fractured his arm as he was for some reason on the field as the team was kicking an extra point while we were winning by 30 points in the 4th quarter, they then rushed him back and he fractured the same arm in the first playoff game. Gronk made the right decision to slide, if BA thinks otherwise he is a dope. Always hated when Belichik would play Gronk when we were up big , everytime he got hit I would cringe. Healthy, he and Brady are pretty unstoppable, no point risking him

With all the injuries the Bucs have had to overcome (including Gronk’s broken ribs), BA is really coming after Gronk? Bro that slide was absolutely the right decision. Sometimes BA has to take a step back and remember the long term goal. Without Gronk this offense is completely different, running and passing. Stay healthy 87!

Gronk knows how great Brady is; Arians doesn’t. Gronk appreciates having Brady around; Arians doesn’t. This is a 7-10, 8-9 team at best w/out Brady and the players he brought w/him.

Keep in mind that Marvin Harrison was a WR, Gronk is a TE, which makes the 90 TD mark even more incredible!

I can’t believe he got grief for sliding! He just came back from a major injury. That injury was caused by 3 guys gunning for him. Good for him for recognizing a potential dangerous situation.
