@Michael Wright First off: we’re talking about 2013 so career averages are less relevant to this discussion. On that note, Lynch was a solid top 5 back that year. Russ was top 5 in only 3-4 metrics and one of those was sacks taken (there’s a few reasons for that too).

But the kid was a playmaker and that helped open things up. But Lynch was the crux of that offense. That team doesn’t win a Super Bowl without having that running attack to chew clock. That’s concordantly why Beastmodes career averages in yards per game are lower: he spent the better part of his career gettin carries in a ball control offense. You dig?
