Reggie Bush’s Instant Fantasy Reaction After Week 13

With a huge performance in Week 13 against the Green Bay Packers, Reggie Bush showed that he is a must-start in fantasy every single week.

The veteran running back got off to a huge start on Thanksgiving Day against the division rival. He was contributing on both the ground and through the air, and by halftime he had 84 rushing yards and a touchdown, plus 48 receiving yards.

SportsCenter described his success perfectly after his rushing touchdown:

Bush finished the game with 117 rushing yards, 65 receiving yards and a touchdown, earning The 2013 Galloping Gobbler award, as noted by Fox Sports: NFL:

The 2013 Galloping Gobbler goes to @ReggieBush!
• 20 carries, 117 yds, 1 rush TD
• 5 catches, 65 yds

This versatility is what helped Bush be productive all season. Entering the week, he was averaging four receptions to go with 16 carries per game. With his speed and agility, he is always capable of turning one of these touches into a big play.

As a result, he entered the day ranked eighth among running backs in fantasy points this season. Going forward, he is no less than a top-five option.

There were certainly times to be skeptical about Bush’s fantasy ability. He did not get too many goal-line carries and Joique Bell would often take away a great deal of his snaps. This has led to a few poor performances in the stat book.

However, he makes up for that with huge days where he racks up tons of yards. The fact that he came through on a one-yard touchdown run also provides more faith in him going forward.

Detroit utilizes the playmaker in many ways, and it has helped Bush put up consistent yardage every week. While there might be a disappointing game here and there, sticking by him will help out your fantasy team a great deal.
