The best Center in the NFL. My favorite pick of the 2021 rookie class. He was the highest graded rookie in the NFL. He’s only just getting started. His rookie year is the best start of any Center in the NFL, better than Mitch Morse.

Sign Von Miller? Well, it would certainly make up for that whole Neil Smith situation. But I don’t know if it’s the right move to make. I’m a big proponent of taking a few steps back so we can take a couple of great big leaps forward. If I was an NFL general manager of any team, let me tell you what I would do. I would trade our first, second and third round draft picks for two consecutive years to teams that are in a serious rebuilding process. For their first, second and third round draft picks in future seasons, plus additional draft compensation. I’ll give you my first round draft pick this year and you give me your first round draft pick in two years and your second round draft pick in 3 years, sort of a thing. And I would make it part of a cascading process where we were always trading and drafting into the future. And then have the draft Capital to go get any player that we really want moving forward. This allows us to stock up on draft capital from a big-picture / long-term perspective. It hurts for a couple of seasons but then it puts you into the driver’s seat moving forward. And for those two seasons I would maximize our potential in the lower rounds of the draft and undrafted free agents. Trying to find a couple of Diamonds in the Rough. Then I would build the offense through free agency and the defense through the draft. And that’s how I believe you maximize the potential of a quarterback like Patrick Mahomes. But maybe I’m wrong, what do you think?
