@Trent Wise The ball is down where the runner starts the slide so you’re wrong. You’re not advancing the ball.

@Freddie Simmons right, but they can gain an extra yard or two depending on how they slide, look at where Wilson starts his slide compared to where he lands, he gets an extra yard if not more, thats gaining yards while still giving yourself up.

Seattle beat the 49ers when they had a trash defense, now they have a good defense so what makes you think the 49ers with a QB worse then goff can take down the hawks?

That deserves some dissection. The Hawks haven’t struggled against the run at all this year, while putting up the worst pass d numbers. On the ground, that means keeping offenses out of the end zone in critical situations. Nothing has fundamentally changed in the bend but don’t break philosophy, which is why our ‘historically bad d’ stands behind an 11-4 record.
Both sides of the ball have suffered from a lack of grit and a sense of entitlement much of the year, attitudes which appear to have faded for now.

@Stephanie Groves the rams were getting to the red quickly and efficiently, but goff and mcvay couldnt figure out what to do when they got there. Seahawks D is still highly suspect, teams they play in the playoffs will probably know what to do in the red zone.
Goff helped that D more than he helped his offense. Awful decision making by Goff.

1st time since 2014 that the Hawks had a team with healthy RBs and a defense going into playoffs.
@Hollowpoint 37 the 49 team was a monster. It was better and didn’t lose because of the last play, they lost their entire secondary in the 3rd quarter with a 10 point lead. Brady obliged with endless hooks that they couldn’t cover.

@Kalvin Hwang I think it’s because he doesn’t have to do all the work. It became noticeable around the time of the Bills game that it felt like him and the receivers had to do all the work so he would scramble, run and force balls more often. Now since Carson is back and the rungame is going, along with the defense, he feels more relaxed and simply doing his job. He did have the wide open shot of Hollister but in his defense, the route was pre planned and the bump on Hollister messed up the timing
Finally? It’s only been 4 years. They have more NFC West titles than any other team since it’s current structure when they joined the NFC.

Most play-by-play commentators can get annoying with their repetition, and I know it’s fashionable to criticise Buck but he’s genuinely god-awful.
For me Harlan’s the only one whose commentary consistently raises the excitement level and keeps me interested.
