No Carr it wasn’t that you were too aggressive, it was that you under threw both Waller and Adams. If you lay out in front of those two it doesn’t get picked, they were both open
@Eric O this is the issue, somewhere along the line he was told or taught to throw every king ball as a sky ball. Early in his career he was having some deep accuracy issues, the sky ball gives his guy a good chance in a 1v1 Situation, but you can’t under throw it like that with 2 guys coming underneath

Terrible game by Carr, 3 picks, 2 fumbles (not lost) and the Raiders still lost by 5 points. I think that says something, especially being the 1st time with the new offense on the field. Raiders will finish 12-5.

The oline played great every sack was a coverage sacks where he had time but he didn’t move in the pocket or step up and run. Unacceptable for a player that’s a 9 yr veteran. We played about as bad as we could play and lost by 5 points. Other than the 1st sack of the game Derwin came unblocked all the rest of the sacks were on Carr not moving hopefully he cleans it up.
@Rick Peterson the oline will be avg he still has to feel the Rush and move I’m not saying he’s gotta be Lamar but you have to climb in the pocket. If you watch the tape 4 of the 6 sacks he did not move at all.

@GB9 they switched at RT and LG and that’s it, what other excuse do you want to give Carr? Isn’t he supposed to be elite? I’m by no means a Carr hater, I just call a spade a spade. 4 times or so a lane opened up and he could’ve ran for 1st downs, and one time Mack gets one hand on him and he falls down and curls up into the fetal position. I guess he’s not as mobile as he used to be he runs a 4.6 which is great for a QB.

Carr is not the kind of qb that can afford mistakes. He had to be sharper.
Carr, you need to start running it when possible. There were a few open lanes you could have taken advantage of and ran it.

This is why I’m losing confidence in Derek. He keeps playing scared!!! I saw quarterbacks that could barely walk fast scramble for first downs this weekend. But he doesn’t even try.

Bad day at the office against a great team. Carr missed the really important throws. Game changing throws. Shake it off only week one.
But you don’t feel like it’s bigger than that? Derek Carr is in his 9th season. Having a prove it year! He always throws the worst ints. Playoffs last year. Wasn’t much of a factor in the chargers game last year either.
He has zero pocket awareness. Most QBs can feel where the pressure is coming and escape. Carr just gets hit, holds on too long, fumbles constantly or pick. Have to be looking for a QB upgrade

He has no pocket presence and refuses to extend plays with his legs. Gruden rode him hard on this and now he just stands there and holds the ball to damn long.
He is part of the problem with the raiders! He’s afraid of the rush and panics! He tries to force the ball to his receivers! He, along with an offensive line that can open the run or block; and DB’S that can’t defend the pass and always look lost! Same issues for the last 4 or 5 years!

The fact that Derek Carr only averaged 8 yards per attempt is why the Raiders lose to the Chargers and why Derek Carr is the 23rd ranked QB in NFL after having lost to the Chargers in week 1. Derek Carr sucks and is total garbage.
Derek blew it for this one. I normally defend him, but him being “aggressive” wasn’t the right word. A lot of bad throws and a bad performance by him. Inaccurate and him being a snail inside the pocket is what killed it.

Barring a miracle, this is the Derek Carr we’ve always had and always will have. Every NFL team knows that Carr’s pocket awareness has always been horrible and as soon as you put any amount of pressure on him, he folds quicker than a blind guy playing poker. I can’t believe we have this many great players on our team and I’ve already lost hope for the season because I was brutally reminded of who’s still playing QB this past Sunday 🤦🏻♂️
I hope the best for Carr because he’s a good dude and maybe he needs a change of scenery like Stafford. But with the Raiders, he showed Sunday to be the same player over and over.
