Josh needs to be on the Practice Squad. I think keeping the 3 QBs in Wilson, Rypien, then the journeyman, Johnson in the reserve position fits Denver’s needs.
Rypien has deserved that backup QB role. Johnson, who has been with 11 teams in 14 years cannot be ignored.
He has struggled to stay on a team but always gets another look.
If Wilson were to get hurt, Ripen would start and Johnson would move up to the backup role. I think this is probably Johnsons last year. But I’d probably had said that 5 teams ago, so who knows.
