Analytics is just statistical data calculated in order to determine the probabiltiy of an event. The fact that people think analytics are something “disprove” shows you don’t know how they work
the only way these projections could be completely incorrect is if there was a projection that a team was 100% going to the playoffs and then they didn’t
@Obinna E you don’t know what their analytics are coming from. The analytics could easily be ‘wrong’ if they aren’t based on anything. We do know that they aren’t taking everything into account, because that would be basically impossible. The analytics are extremely unreliable, but they can’t be proven wrong unless someone shows they aren’t taking into account key factors in determining the projections.

If I give you 99% chance that something DOES happen it DOESNT happen, the probability is true because 99% isn’t a certainty
These probabilities aren’t guaranteeing anything, just showing you the chance each team have
@Obinna E their probability is base on nothing, or not enough to be reliable in the slightest. I’ll give you a 99% the Chiefs make the playoffs, what is this based on? Nothing at all, so the probability I have means nothing.

you gotta take into account first whether or not their win their divison. then if they don’t, would they be able to make 5th 6th or 7th seed. considering the NFC has a lot of good teams that aren’t division leaders like the Cardinals, kind of Rams, and Saints, the bears making the 5th 6th or 7th isn’t that easy

The Cardinals and Rams are in the same division, alongside tough teams like Seahawks and 49ers, so its possible they lost games due to their tough schedule …. even though they have the nfc least to compensate for it lol
Bread Basket you also have to consider the rest of the schedule for each team. Bears have the Vikings weeks 10 and 15. They have Lions week 13, Texans week 14 and the Jaguars week 16. Those are 5 easily winnable games for them and that alone would get the Bears to 10 wins which would probably be enough for the playoffs, especially because of the new 7th seed. As a Bears fan, I don really want them to because they won’t win the Superbowl and I want them to have a higher draft pick but this team will stay the mediocrity of the midway and won’t accomplish anything until Virginia McCasky dies.
