PFF is an interesting concept, but they have struck out with me. 1) if you are entity that claims you are just about the “tape” than why are you making projection ranking for teams, players and units. 2) they don’t know what injuries guys are playing with and when someone is gutting things out because a team needs it to not put it on a curve is silly. 3) football is a complimentary and team sport and there is a human element. A good pass rush helps coverage, good coverage helps a pass rush etc, bad offense hurts a defense, etc etc- they don’t spend enough time considering all of these factors and curving grades 3). They make way too many assumptions on what the play or scheme coached a player to do. The quality and knowledge of their evaluators varies substantially as well. Some of these guys aren’t pro level evaluators. While I believe the concept is ok. Stop the clickbait crap and acting like it’s a definitive source on how good players and teams are.

Agreed. The OVERESTIMATE their understanding of what is going on. PFF information can only be used by the coaching staff and positional coaches. Because they know what the play was supposed to be and how they teach player to attack the player. Unless you know the above info, PFF is mostly a parlor trick for anything outside of offensive and defensive line play.

@Sage Agbonkhese yeah man, they just lose credibility too often with me. Like saying the Eagles have the 17th ranked O line. Based on what? Giving Seumalo a low grade last year- well dig in, he rushed back from a knee surgery to try and help the team, Lane playing on one ankle and trying to gut it out? Lane fixed his ankle, do you think he forgot how to play? Brooks was there highest ranked Guard in 19, are you assuming he is done? Kelce was playing hurt and trying to hold everything together with a new line change basically every week. So right now the 4 guys are healthy, Mailata and Dillard are both super talented. Find a team that has back ups as talented as Dickerson, Mailata or Dillard, Driscoll and Herbig? I’m not just being a homer, but they lose so much credibility for calling that a below middle of the pack line and there are plenty of other things- that’s just one example that I can’t take seriously
